@McNamara247: The 1 year, 3.7 million dollar deal for Aminu just doesnt make sense to me. Bothers me more than Ryno for Asik rumor honestly

Aminu ain't an upgrade but he should continue to improve. I just don't see the point of signing him for one year. Guess we're shooting for a solid SF next year

Huh. Not using the room exception on him?

McNamara is a fricking moron.... But this move is strange

Dell could be planning to trade him? Either way I think we needed a SF

With the way this week has gone, Aminu deal could be part of a S/T

Maybe Demps is hopeful that Aminu will workout long term with the new team speed. The games where people thought he was great were games where the team could run. This contract might make it easier to keep him later with bird rights than using the $2.6 million cap room MLE on him. Just speculation but kind of makes sense.

Al-Farouq, my man. Let's just hope the episodes of consistency we saw in small spurts last year becomes more of the norm this year.

Aminu/Anderson for Parsons/Asik perhaps?

This seems rather likely to me now that you mention it. If the team wanted to keep Aminu then a 2-yr/5.2M deal via the MLE would have been better than 1/3.7M...

Thinking Anderson and Aminu will be apart of a package to HOU?

Once you sign guys you can't trade them for a few months. Technically nothing can be signed until the 10th, so it's not impossible, but I don't recall ever seeing a player reported as signing a deal and then a day later get included in a S&T.

If that trade is actually going down, then yeah, I could see it. We'd get Asik and some other part I couldn't guess at.

I do think Aminu would fit in very nicely as a defensive 3 in houston

Only if we get parsons too. And a draft pick

Where's Hugh Weber when you need him.

Houston isn't doing this.
I wanted Aminu back but not at that price. I have no idea what we do at 5 now.
