Yeah. I don't understand why. They only won the last 3 out of 4 years and are the only thing standing in our way from a dynasty. I don't understand why we worry so much about them
Probably because Texas A&M and Alabama are poised to beat us this year. Get your head out of your arse.

you guys worry about Bama way too much.
Yes, let's forget about Bama, and maybe they'll stop ruining our chances at national titles.
Bama is really the only thing LSU has had to worry about for the last half decade other than Cam Newton and road games in Gainesville.

They cite a competitive imbalance, especially this season when LSU is playing Florida (on Oct. 12 in Tiger Stadium) and Georgia, teams that shared first place in the SEC East last season with a combined 14-2 record. Alabama, meanwhile, plays permanent opponent Tennessee and Kentucky, which went a combined 1-15 in 2012.

I totally agree with the fuss about the unbalanced schedule, when all you need is one bad game or 2nd half injury (UF) and your title chances are ruined (unless you're Bama). I have stopped worrying too much because there is we can really do. Just enjoy the competitive games.

right when Tennessee gets it turned around they jump onto LSU's schedule

Bama's title chances were ruined until Ok. State lost moving us to number 2 from 3. then this past year, KSU and UO lost. Moving us from 4 to 2. No free passes were handed out. teams you wanted to play in the NC just didn't finish out their season the way they should. I remember similar things happening to a 2007 football team. This is not the basketball tourney where teams are selected out of a pot. College football is WHEN you lose and WHO loses above you and WHERE you're ranked when they lose. The polls are simply a shuffling of a deck of cards. The earlier you lose the better.
As far as playing Florida. I don't sweat them anymore. Meyer, yea. Now, not really. I wish we were in the east and played every year. Reason: Its a great win in the eyes of the media even when they aren't good so it helps your BCS standing. UF gets a lot of mileage off past success. Here's to a healthy training camp and another great game in BDS.

Great!! Now if the NCAA can ban do overs, make it necessary to win your conference to play in the big game, find new refs that holding on BAMA, move the SEC office out of Birmingham, and get ESPN to stop loving Saban then We might have a chance to win a National Championship!! One down, 5 to go

This.
Give me Kentucky and Vanderbilt every year.

I would go to a game @ Missouri.

Just the way Bama wants it, in first year of new playoff LSU schedule gets weaker but under the last year of BCS LSU schedule is tougher
I don't know why, but this made incredibly good sense to me.

So full of conspiracy theorists. No, it's just the rotation. But if Alabama is still playing Tennessee, even if they do pick up Florida, the two school's schedules will be more balanced for that year. The two school's schedules would be comparable and equitable--which is all anyone wants to see on a year-in year-out basis.
There is no rotation during the transition years. The last two seasons and the next two seasons are "bridge" years. That is presuming they can work out the schedule this year.
The only way this thing balances out with respect to Alabama vs LSU in the west conference race is for Tenn and Fla to get back on an even level. They have not be "equal" in the last decade.

Thank God!
I'm convinced everyone here bash's Bama's schedule but would gladly accept it for us.

Hoping for a road game @ Tennessee. My favorite road trip in the SEC.
Posted on 6/28/13 at 2:12 pm to Fight4LSU
it will be a home game probably against Mizzou or Kentucky - the road game against the east will be @ Fla

Joking aside, i do think the yearly matchup with Florida has helped LSU as a program more than hurt. Players want to play in big games, and that national exposure of 2 top 10 teams playing yearly is attractive to recruits.

Just the break this team needed...
We have a good schedule without being too tough now.

LSU is one of 4 teams who have followed the same scheduling pattern. IF things hold up, they will play Vandy.
LSU will end up playing whichever other east team that will give them the hardest game.
My bet is that it will be mizz or vandy. The SEC will not make tennessee play both lsu and alabama in the same year. Kentucky will still be in rebuilding mode after this year but they should be better.
