The schedule still isn’t finished, but LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva said Thursday he has been assured of one thing: The Tigers won’t be playing Georgia or South Carolina.

quote:

“I’m shocked the schedule isn’t out yet,” he said. “When we left Destin, they told us a few schools had to move some games. We weren’t one of those.

quote:

“It sounded relatively quick and easy, but it isn’t done yet. But there will be no Georgia or South Carolina

quote:

There will be a game in 2014 for LSU at Florida, the Gators continuing to be the Tigers’ permanent opponent out of the SEC East unless the conference changes that part of the scheduling format.

quote:

As for the other game out of the East, with Georgia and South Carolina off the board the Tigers’ potential opponents are Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Of those, only Vanderbilt posted a winning record in 2012, going 9-4.

It won't matter who's on the schedule

Just the way Bama wants it, in first year of new playoff LSU schedule gets weaker but under the last year of BCS LSU schedule is tougher

You didn't think that through.

So full of conspiracy theorists. No, it's just the rotation. But if Alabama is still playing Tennessee, even if they do pick up Florida, the two school's schedules will be more balanced for that year. The two school's schedules would be comparable and equitable--which is all anyone wants to see on a year-in year-out basis.

Now if we could drop Florida and have more home SEC games than away, we'd have what i call a "Bama Schedule".

Well that would make zero sense if they played either of those teams.

LSU is one of 4 teams who have followed the same scheduling pattern. IF things hold up, they will play Vandy.

At best the schedule evens out for LSU after two straight years of getting the shaft.

Will Bama ever have to play Florida and Georgia in one season? I don't think so. It will never happen.

He has a point. Look at Ohio State and others schedule. They can make it the big game without having to play 8 top 25 teams.

Yeah. I don't understand why. They only won the last 3 out of 4 years and are the only thing standing in our way from a dynasty. I don't understand why we worry so much about them
