Davis had more of an offensive game at UK than Noel did.

Say Holiday breaks his leg and the Pelicans pick 4th. Was Nerlens plus the 4th pick worth it in a stacked draft class?

Say we don't do the trade, Noel decides to retire after next year and the new commish takes our first rounder away next year after he finds out about the bounty Smiht has been running. We'd be such failures for turning down this trade.

Davis was 220 lbs and has big broad shoulders.

The frame is the biggest issue. Look at Davis's frame compared to Noel's.

Davis should get much bulkier than Noel.

Say the Pelicans' team plane crashes, only EG survives, and he is forced to play 70 games with the players that Demps could pry from Dario Saric's team (except Saric himself on account of the hefty buyout), and the Pelicans win the 1st pick and get Lebron to sign with them out of sympathy. Would Jrue > the possible Lebron/Wiggins/EG trio? We'll have to see.

Davis had/has offense. He has a dependable jumpshot. He can put the ball on the floor from being a guard early in his career. Noel has very, very little offensive game.

I like the trade a lot. I have hated on Noel since the start of his senior year in high school. His offense is atrocious and his defense is very raw beyond shot blocking skill.

If it is top 5 protected, I like the trade. Jrue has a great contract and this draft sucks. No one will be close to Jrue, in terms of overall value at any position, and I am not even a big Jrue fan

Honestly, I'm kinda tired of the "tank" seasons, I wish I could say the same for those of you who would rather have kept Noel (who would probably play the same position as AD), let him sit out til new year's, struggle to get through the season again with the same roster (save one or two new players who prolly wont make a difference) , and end up with a lottery pick (which probably wont help us get into the playoffs next year either given the lack of impact with the majority of most rookies).

This was a win now move. I honestly think this will re-energize EG now that he has a proven PG.

I mean, you could actually say we have a Big 3 now....if Big 3 translates into potential all stars.

Yeah, I Hope it motivates Gordon. That would be a big deal considering the duration of his contract and what he has done so far.

They got the steal of the draft and not only do they trade him, they trade next years pick in a deep draft. I like Jrue but damn.

Should we just tank next season to give us better shot at keeping our #1 pick?

Can you smell that?? Yep, that's what championships smell like!

Im sorry but Jrue Holliday is a stud but we essentially traded

Nerlens Noel and a lottery pick for him

that's a steep price, he better bring it.
