Well, until lahomebrew opens their website, i'll still be using ahs. I saw your pictures on facebook of the guys warehouse. I'm pretty excited. I'm not going to know what it is like, to order ingredients and pick them up on the same day.

I am trying to find a barrel to borrow for a few months. the coffee guy at Magpie and I want to barrel age some cold brewed coffee then serve it through a nitro system. At the moment my barrel is no good. I would have to do some serious cleaning for it to not be sour coffee.

Buy a simple kit and follow the directions. It's fun.

Find someone you know or from here that brews and go hang out with them during one of their brewdays. Much easier and less overwhelming watching someone else.

This Saturday is the AHA's 'Learn to Homebrew Day'. If you haven't brewed before Id contact your local homebrew club and see if they are having a demonstration.

Seems like you've had a sticky request for a long time. What's the hold up? All the Admin power is focused on a rant meltdown.

Cool. I figure it would provide a great barrel for a coffee stout after we empty it.

Does someone have a contact email for the bicycle brew club? The email address listed on the AHA website isn't working.

I was hoping he'd chime in. He's the only member I know...

Trying to get this Louisiana competition info out to all the different LA homebrew clubs.

Brewing an English Barley Wine for Learn to Homebrew Day on Saturday. Looking at a pretty simple grain bill. Cannot decide if I need another flavor malt in the bill. Right now the idea is:
88% Maris Otter
12% Crystal 60L

Bittered with Horizon, Aroma and Dry Hopped - EKG

Thoughts?
