Tiger Stadium - Sit or Stand

Coming down to BR in Sept to watch the Tigers beat up on the "War Eagles" and then NO to see the Saints / Cardinals. I have back issues so in choosing tickets I was wondering to what extent do fans in sections where the seats have no backs sit or stand?

Most sit, but stand when something good happens. A handful will stand without regard to the people behind them. There are some on here who think only bad fans sit.

The student section and the first 10 rows on the sideline stand because they can't see over the players on the sideline.

Legitimate medical reason that keeps you from standing?
Why are you such a negatiger??

This! I sit at all times except for when I jump up after a big play or when it's a big down on defense. Gotta have regard for the people behind you.
Although halftime I usually stand because its time to stretch the soreness of the medal seats out, and once got told to sit because they wanted to see the halftime show.

.... all of you
you get so much more into the game when standing vs sitting
I hate to sit down during the game. I can do that on the couch at my house

I would say that most places will be fine. Stay away from the student section and lower rows though.

I don't disagree...but I'm not in the last row, so I take into account the people behind me who may NOT want to stand the entire game. As such, I sit most of the time and jump up when truly exciting things are happening or as it becomes obvious LSU is needing a big defensive stop.

Yea, without any regard for the poor 50 year old SOB who paid $$$ for his ticket, has back problems and had to walk a mile from his parking spot and climb to the upper deck and has to walk back after the game.

I don't even sit down at my house during the game. It's 3 hours out of 168 during the week. It won't kill you to stand and scream.

It won't kill you to sit and let others enjoy the game. You can scream all you want. Bet you don't stand in front of your wife at home during the game.

rudeness should not excused regardless of the reason.

Thanks for all the feedback. Actually my back would be a mess if I sat for extended periods of time on a bench without a seat back for support. Looks like we'll spending a few more bucks for our seats.
