It actually starts with the defense. In a 4-3-3, you would have 4 defenders, 3 midfielders, and 3 forwards/strikers/wingers.

It excludes the goalie though...

4 defenders
3 midfielders
3 forwards

To be honest, the tactics involved in the game are what has really hooked me... We have a bright young manager who is really coming into his own right now... He gets things wrong from time to time, but he's getting them right more often than not these days...

These are exciting days if you are becoming a LFC fan... I really believe we are on the cusp of some great years!

March Schedule

At Cardiff
At ManU
Sunderland
Tottenham

I think 10 points should be the minimum expected here. That would put us in outstanding position down the stretch.

I think all he had to do was not shoot directly at the keeper. I don't think he makes the save if Sterling goes far post.

Yeah I agree, but coming across the keeper against his momentum is the more cerebral shot.

He's not afraid to admit to himself he's made a mistake and change accordingly. He's not afraid to risk and to adapt his preferred style to fit his players.

At Cardiff - 3
At ManU - 1
Sunderland - 3
Tottenham - 3

10 for me also. If we can pull this off we'll be playing for the title on the final day, IMO. Especially if we grab 3 points at United. That would put us at 80+ points at the end of it all. Considering we have the second best GD (and may have the best at the finish), that's pretty much an extra point for us. We're also sitting top of the form table, so there's that also.

Man U is before Cardiff...

I hate that we are off next week and now that game has been moved to the Wednesday before Tottenham... Obviously, would like a full weeks rest before playing them..

At least both games in that short week will be at home.

Could be worse.

Also, while Tottenham have a week between matches ahead of us, they'll be coming off a long stretch of Premier League and Europa League matches over the last month before we play.

Sorry - just mis-remembered the order when I posted.

But the point expectations remain the same for me.

Just rewatching the match again. Just look at the difference in reactions between Wanyama and Gerrard to getting yellows.

Also, I didn't realize just how close Suarez came to scoring off that corner kick.

You can tell he did it on purpose. There was an angle where he started to celebrate right after he kicked it.

Also, did anyone see the random report from The Times that FSG are considering putting the club on the market if we finish top 4? ...

BEAST, do you have a link?

I did read the buy out clause quotes and that was a great gamble!
