Fished GI last weekend and struggled hard. Not many trout. Fished Fri and Sat and had a caught 27 between both days. Fished all elmers island and behind the island. This weekend should be better

Last weekend in GI was tough i heard. I fished wed and friday last week. Did well wed. but not so good friday.

Saturday- Get up and start working on a new stand, work till about lunch, then dive into the cold beer, fire the pit up, get ready to pitch some horseshoes.
Sunday- Put on my finest pair of jorts, head out to the lake, and sweat out what's left of Saturday so I can make room for a little hair of the dog, and try my first go at hand grabbing.

Last time I was in Alaska it was this time of year. You could sit outside your tent and read a newspaper at midnight.

My 2 oldest daughters have a dance recital Saturday night, so considering there is a rehearsal tonight, and I have a baby to tend to as well, my weekend will pretty much be spent on concrete.
I suppose I don't mind it as bad as I may let on. One day they'll be gone and I'll get to fish by myself every weekend.
Also, what ever happened to the 15-yr-old closet queer in the "You're not OB unless _____" thread the other day? I'd like to tell him I'm dancing with my daughter in a "daddy-daughter" dance tomorrow night, and I let my 3 yr old paint my toenails last night. According to him that makes me queer.
I suppose I don't mind it as bad as I may let on. One day they'll be gone and I'll get to fish by myself every weekend.
