No, I think its Pretty crazy how people hate him so much, and he's so good. But, I do remember after the 2011 series when they lost to Dallas, Lebron had a big speech where he basically said "when I go home I'll still be rich"
Just rubbed me the wrong way. But guys, I'm not a hater, I really like him. I think he's a great ambassador for the NBA, and I like how he's fun and interacts with fans, he's just a genuinely nice guy.

Fine with it. You take the shite people give you and turn it into motivation.

I was rooting for the spurs and thought the comment was fine

If I was him I would have said the following:
"Why would I be worried about what people are saying? All they are saying about me is "is Le better than Jordan? Most are not saying I am but I am 28 years old and even my haters are saying I am the second best player in history. If I allowed those comments, which in reality are a huge honor, bother me then nothing in this world will ever make me happy."

His championship speech was meh
But the post game interview with Magic, Jalen Rose and Bill Simmons
Might be the best I've ever seen in a postgame chat of the finals.
Very impressive.

It is fun to imagine how crazy people would have gone with Jordan and Barkley behaving like they did in the 80s/90s if they played today. At the very least there would be gifs of Barkley throwing that guy thru a plate glass window

Sounds like a real arrogant dick to me

Arrogant how? He is on blast 24/7 and just won the finals. He has the right to tell the haters off imo
This. All of the people that say he was arrogant are the same people that talk shite about him on a daily basis. Just because people care about what he says, doesn't mean he can't talk shite right back.

James is perhaps the most unjustly criticized athlete in the history of sports.

I was rooting for the heat the whole way, because I am a Dallas fan, and I don't like the Spurs, but LeBron came off as pretty arrogant just now. Thoughts?
Are you fricking kidding me? What else is he supposed to say? I absolutely loved the speech. I hated the way he handled the decision and enjoyed watching him play, but didn't mind seeing him fail. I hope he does well though from now on an goes on to use his talents to become the greatest ever.

Didn't hear it, but if he made the whole speech without saying "dawg" once I'm already impressed.

No big problem, it just reminded me of 2011, when he responded to reporter hatred by saying "when I go home I have money "or something like that. I'm seriously sitting here smiling the heat won, I'm just having an interesting discussion.
This quote?
“All the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they have to get back to the real world at some point.”

quote:I honestly think this is the best quote by an athlete I have ever read. It should be thought provoking for every middle aged pot bellied man who allows a basketball player to rustle their jimmies so bad they have to hate on him on a message board
