There's a team that tried exactly this. Dallas after the 2011 title. I'm a Mavs fans, and I agreed with Cuban at the time that it was the smart thing to do. Cuban had to make a decision: do you sign back nearly everyone from the finals team including free agents that are commanding mor...

Since 1979 every of the 34 NBA finals have featured at least one of the above players.
I love the NBA, but you have to admit, this is a superstar league. Probably because only five guys can play the time, so any superstar can take over.
Take out '90, '94, '95, you go to just six players in 3...
