Actually 2 shoulders. One is whole the other is de-boned on account of a .223 bullet wrecked some of it. Deer shoulder:

Got to break out the two burner big daddy dutch oven for it to fit:

Flour it up:

Brown in some bacon drippings and remove:

Sautee some onions, peppers, mushrooms,

Deglaze with this and about a cup of red

Add back the meat, some carrots and rosemary, thyme, basil out the garden

Let it perculate for a bit, then put it in the oven on 220:

Going to play golf and swim. Will check back in around 5pm and see whats happening. Happy Fathers day to all the dads out there. This deer is courtsey of little balls and his fine marksmanship this year

ETA- my camera blows.

Speaking of things that blow, sup Pawl.

Maybe I should use a real camera as opposed to an ipod. I'll work on that

Will do. Should be a raw bone and shoulder blade and some tender meaty chunks of awesomeness if everything goes as planned.

Nice, did that last year

John Besh has a good recipe, served over turnip puree.

Thyme and rosemary is necessary in this.

Got rained out in golf. Walked in and it had the house smelling pretty awesome like. It's been slow bloobing about 5 hours. The only way I know how to post pics is take em on a phone or and ipod. I'm no MD. Suck it Pawl..
