What you need to know is that he beat Superman to death in front of Lois Lane. One of my favorite comic book moments ever. Just beat his arse to death, with the whole world watching.

Now this is something worth watching..

He defeated the entire Justice League in like 5 minutes. With one arm literally tied behind his back.

If you are talking about Captain Marvel from the Kingdom Come line, then you are wrong about all of that.

Oh I gotcha. I thought you were talking about those images posted on page 2.

You can smell Nolan's paws on the movie and it's some of the worst parts of the film, along with Goyer's always terrible dialogue. Snyder, if anything, saves the film.

Unless the novel (or animated film) is different from the comic then by "beat Superman to death" I'm assuming you mean he knocked him unconscious. Which is what Superman also did to Doomsday. Superman should have just tossed his arse out of the atmosphere since Doomsday can't fly and problem is solved.
ETA: And I could never get into comics with their stupidass rules where every character can die and be brought back to life a thousand times over so that nothing ever mattered, but just by glancing through Wikipedia I've already found quite a few comic stories where Superman defeated Doomsday. In fact, in one of the stories he defeated Doomsday while he was being controlled by Brainiac, so he basically defeated two of his most powerful enemies.
In other words, get the hell out of here with your Doomsday killing Supes shite.

I'm gonna' go ahead and just drop this right here. Anytime someone brings up Doomsday, I can't help but think of this and the board room at DC he describes.

Christopher Nolan didn't write the story.
First thing the credits said at the end: Story By Christopher Nolan
Doesn't mean he WROTE it, just that he outlined the story and structure.

I have never seen that video before and that summed up all of my frustration with the death of Superman.

Dude Christopher Nolan didn't write the damn story. He didn't come up with the idea of the story at all. Back in 2008, WB was taking pitches from various comic book writers to decide what they should do with the property after the failure of Superman Returns. Goyer came up with the idea of how to present Superman in a modern world. He pitched it to Nolan and in turn Nolan pitched it to Warner Brothers. Warner loved it and told him to have Goyer write the script and monitor the project.
How is this so hard to understand? They attached his name for marketing purposes. The guy just finished the best superhero trilogy to date for the company. His stock is/was at its highest. Adding his name as a producer was just another way to build hype and hope for this project.

A shitty justice league lineup though.
That wasnt batman, Wonder Woman, Hal Jordan, Flaah and Aquaman.
It was Blue Bettle, Booster Gold, Fire, Ics etc.

Awesome explanation. He have anything else like that on other comics or movies?

And it very obviously works with these gullible people who are convinced Nolan had a large stake in the project. The only person that matter 99% of the time is the DIRECTOR. This is Zack Snyder's movie.

I haven't seen the movie nor do I know a whole lot about the details of the Superman comics, but Superman is supposed to be a god-like character on earth who can't save earth from itself. It's why Lex Luthor is such a great bad guy. He's a villainous bastard with little regards to morals and compassion, and Superman even though he can whip Luthor's arse one on one, he can't stop what Luthor represents.
If you throw a villain that is as equally as powerful or more so than Superman, then you just have another Green Lantern or Fantastic Four or some other lame superhero movie. The only way you can convince the audience that the villain is more powerful is to make their explosions louder and make it so that they hit harder than Superman, which a villain that strong is just getting too ridiculous.
I think Superman could be a great movie. Unable to use his strength to defeat evil because human nature is the true kryptonite.
Just my thoughts.

Who is that? Is he related to Ron Howard somehow?

Batman = human; can die easily
Avengers = team building issues; plenty of humans that can die easily
Spiderman = human; can die easily
I think the point is that Superman is so fricking powerful that no one is ever going to whip his arse.
