If this has been discussed I couldn't find it via the search function. Either way, I lean towards Eades. Assuming both LSU and ULL make it to Sunday, a good hitting team like ULL usually is more vulnerable against a crafty lefty like Glenn instead of a power righty like Eades. Glenn also has proven already that he can beat ULL and has been more consistent during the last month or so. Can't go wrong with either choice, but Eades-Nola-Glenn seems like the best bet for this weekend.

the problem with starting Eades is that it puts Glen going Game3 and IMO I doubt Eades will pitch Game1or2 in the Super (I would think Glenn will pitch Game1or2 in the Super).

Glenn will be pitching game1 the regional IMO. But i guess you never know what PM might have up his sleeve.

Eades against J State, let him get a dominating performance in to get him ready for the Supers.
Nola dominates ulala/Sam Houston on Saturday
Glenn is set up great for the Sunday championship game against either team; both teams will be low on arms giving LSU's offense the opportunity to stack some runs up for Glenn on Championship Sunday.

This is how it all works out in my mind FWIW

Maybe let Hunter Newman start again. Get him a little more work in case we need him in Omaha. Maybe let him throw 4 or 5 innings then throw a couple of other guys 2 innings each. Save Nola until the regional finals.

Newman. pitched more than well enough to take care of Jackson State, and leaves you with all 3 weekend starters if you need them

Newman in game 1 gives us the best chance of winning the tourney IMO

If it were me, I'd start neither (unless Jackson St. has a single pitcher that is just a really good prospect).

If I have to choose Eades or Glenn, then I'm starting Eades because I'd prefer Glenn against a tougher team. I think he is clearly our #2 at this stage.

No need to change up what we've been doing, Glenn in game 1, Nola in game 2, Eades in games 3, Newman if necessary for game 4

Start Glenn game 1

He's been hot late in the year but you keep Eades as that #2 guy as he's still got electric stuff vs a better hitting team.

Start Nola game 2

Ace vs the winner of the #2/#3 seed

Start Eades game 3

He's better than almost any #2 guy in the nation and you have to like your chances.

To everyone wanting to start Newman etc...vs Jackson St. there wouldn't be anything wrong with that yet you want to keep Glenn, Nola, and Eades in their groove/normal rotation throwing roughly once a week.

Eades.

JS has 7 right-handed batters in their starting lineup.
