A big thanks to all that served including my Granfather who passed this year as he served in France and Northern Africa in WWII, my uncles George, Leroy and Gerald and the relatively new addition to our family Kurt who served in the Gulf.

How do you do that?
I did it the lazy way, just dumped the dregs straight into the wort. You could go other ways, build a starter from the dregs or plate some of the dreg and recover from the plate. El Cedro dregs, theoretically, have both the JK farmhouse yeast and Brett. I'll probably try and isolate their farmhouse yest from a bottle that only has that yeast in it (actually apply my microbiology degree for once)

I only did a two gallon test batch and tossed in about 1/4 of a 750 ml bottle. It took it about 24 hours to really get going.
