What is your fantasy football strategy?

Do you go after quarterback first, build up your RB and WR then qb, or just take the best player available.

You have to adapt to how the draft is unfolding. It's not smart for you to take a 3rd round QB in the 1st just because everyone is taking QBs, or you think that's what you need first. I generally try and go best available, while the draft dictates the spots I fill.

I play in a keeper league, so you have to strategize what's going to trend each year; creates opportunity for some steals (Everyone hard up for WRs, sneak in and grab that RB that's falling)

Follow my big board no matter what. And build depth at RB and WR like crazy.

Also never ever ever ever ever ever draft a K until last round.

The biggest idiot can win fantasy football. The strategy really matter little.
The real winners are made adding/dropping

Depends on the league. I have one league where we start two QBs so they fly off the board. PPR leagues where the top 5 will go the first few rounds but can get a quality one later which is what I do.
If you can draft decently then I think it's mostly about in season moves.

I usually come up with some half arse opinions starting in July.
I like to do my own rankings but I goofed on quite a few players last year. The only one that really stepped up like I thought he would was CJ Spiller. I really got a sleeper type of kick last year and it cost me...

If you can't get a top 3-4 RB, take the best WR. I'm in a keeper league. Won it last year with Megatron, Julio, and Decker at WR. Drafted Matt Ryan in the 7th. RB's were Mathews, McFadden, and TRich.
Best thing is the ppl voted to keep 4 for this coming year.

QB,RB then best player available

Depends on the draft, auction or snake. Auction is much more strategic but can change at any minute. Snakes are pretty simple take BPA with the potential of upside and usually you'll make the playoffs.

Get receivers on teams with heavy passing attack. Megaton, Julio, roddy, Demarius Thomas, decker, jordy nelson. Aj green is always targeted in the red zone.
Get a decent te. Great tight ends can give you a 10 pt advantage week to week. Graham and Hernandez/gronk. There are some sleeper tight ends.
Be careful with a team's philosophy for rb. Some share a lot of carries. Some don't run much in the red zone or much at all. Go for a team that uses predominantly one rb: broncos, packers, niners, ravens. Some under the radar picks: Moreno, lacy, j Rodgers, Ingram. Some guys returning to keep an eye on where they project: Richardson, Martin, spiller, Morris.
Plenty of qbs that will do. Brady, Brees, p manning, rodgers....one if these if it's reasonable. The next tier may include some risk Eli, romo, cam, big ben, Ryan....maybe luck, stafford, flacco....keep an eye on Flynn and Wilson.

Stud QBs don't always win the championship but they definitely help in making the playoffs. P. Manning slacked off a bit (weeks 14 &15) at the end of the season due to his team being up late in the game. I find a stud RB and too top tier WRs usually what gives you that playoff push.

Exactly, it's the lotto of fantasy sports

I agree with this. I make the playoffs with consistent players, and get beat by those that throw up 30+ points in freak games. Their RB/WRs are more likely to put up 20+ over average than my QB, but that could just be my luck.
