they are looking for ways to keep CP3 around, such as bringing in as many of his buddies as possible.
Not very difficult at all.
Somehow, I doubt the Knicks bite on a trade sending Jordan for Tyson Chandler.

I've never even understood why he was on the hot seat. Did he sleep with the new owner's wife?
He was very critical of the FO after gay was dealt and has been vocal about not trusting analytics (also very stubborn about playing ed davis). not a good tactic when hollinger is running the show.
this run probably makes him more likely to return though.

Unless he was posturing for his players maybe they should fire him then

Any chance they come after Monty?

No chance. Monty signed a 4 year extension this past year. Benson would have to willingly release him.

Not that we had any doubt...

Among the biggest reasons the Clippers let Vinny Del Negro go today, sources say: Chris Paul was not a fan.
Though Del Negro played a role in acclimating Paul to L.A. and Clips, Paul did not back the coach to management after season ended.
As Clips search for new coach, Paul is known to be a proponent of Warriors assistant Michael Malone. They were together in New Orleans.

That's who I think gets the job if they don't go for a big name. Paul likes him, and he deserves it.

Big name = Big money. This is still The Clippers and Donald Sterling we're talking about. Congratulations Coach Malone.

Sterling never goes for a big name.

Sterling has never had a star like CP3 or a team this good before.
That being said, I agree that he'll take the cheaper route. Also, Malone is white, which Sterling's racist self will clearly prefer.

They contacted him. He isn't "coaching the clips".

Did anyone hear Del Negro's interview on The Dan Patrick Show? Must have been rough for him to not tell his true feelings about CP.

Byron sure isn't a big name anymore. The shine from his NJ days disappeared after his time in Nola and Cleveland.
