Around 3 times a year.I usually use the lightest strings but am going to change to something heavier to see how it effects the tone.

When I use to play shows, before every performance. Now I just change them when they get too worn down. Every few months.

I use Elixir coated strings on my acoustic and so only change them every 2-3 months. And I play most everyday. On my electrics, hardly ever change them. But I don't play me electrics very often. Maybe once every couple of weeks.

every 2-3 months. wipe them down with rubbing alchohol or lighter fluid after playing and they'll last awhile.
