No bitching.

However, to the extent you are trying to draw a comparison to the proposed Reliant opener for 2014, the UW game was a home and home, which is the whole point for those that ARE bitching about Houston.

Seattle was crawling with Tiger fans. Every place I went the locals exclaimed they could not believe how many of us showed up.

Also it was one of the best road trip games I have been on.

Ditto what all the other fans who were actually there have said. There were a ton of LSU fans and the trip was awesome. I wish we played more non-conference games in cool destinations like that.

Your friend doesn't know what he's talking about. Yeah, it's a long trip but so what. There were so many LSU fans in purple and gold downtown it was almost funny. Even the friends we tailgates with we're stunned by how many Tigers showed up. That's why they had such a big turn out here last year. Great game.

Because of that game, I had kind of hoped the Wisconsin game was going to be at Lambeau Field instead of Houston.

Is he joking? I was there with 15,000 to 20,000 of my closest friends. If anyone was complaining it was the Washington fans having purple and gold take over their city. Probably my favorite road trip. We drank our plane out of booze, literally. The flight attendant would play the fight song over the plane speakers. Bars were locking LSU fans in after they were supposed to close so we could continue drinking. I asked a liquor store owner about his sales that day and he commented that he made his 6 month target in 3 days.

Way off, I can only remember every time we walked up on local folks they were asking me if all of Baton Rouge had come up for the game.

And everyone I talked to loved the trip.

I had a blast, and there were a ton of LSU fans there. There were fewer hippies than I expected too, which made the trip much more enjoyable.

Mark Emmertt was still President of UW for that game, and I think he must have had a hand in allowing Tiger fans to set up that major tailgate party in their Main Quad, complete with DJ, campus police support, and fenced area serving liquor. Also think LSU Seattle Alumni Chapter did a great job organizing it. Husky fans walking through the Quad on the way to the game were going like, "what the shite is going on here, and who the fark allowed these LSU fans to take over our campus?" Massive tailgate party!

No No No... Seattle bars literally ran out of beer. They were not prepared for the "true" purple and gold storm.

That was the funniest part. Every bar we went to the first the bartender said was we are out of this and this and this.

That shite was hilarious. Their fans were pissed. They didn't even know a party like that was allowed. Leave it to LSU fans to know more about partying on the UW campus than their own fans do.

This whole area was filled with an LSU party:

I wll never forget the look on the Husky faces when the police escorted the multiple TAF busses to the game and we started unloading.

Yeah. That was an awesome trip. Every charter boat on Lake Washington was full of LSU fans go tigering back and forth to each other and tiger baiting the few Washington fan boats; there was a giant arse tailgate on UW's campus that alone hade more than 3000 LSU fans; downtown Seattle was loaded with LSU fans for 3 days; and there were at least 15000 LSU fans in the stadium.

Nobody bitched. Everybody was pumped about that trip.

Your friend is full of it. I went and it was great. All the LSU fans were having a good time. The campus had to open up an area usually closed to tailgating because so many LSU fans showed up. I heard many UDUB fans say they couldn't believe how many of us showed up. Many more than show up for their conference games.

My favorite road trip so far. We went to Vancouver for a few days before the game - awesome!
