I'll start one, albeit admittedly not as drastic as the "Beatles weren't influential" one.

"Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel is not a good song. A boring pedestrian melody.

I think the video made it more of a phenomenon than the song itself... I'm not a big fan and would change the station every time..

The Beatles didn't make good music.

Son Volt makes better music than Wilco.

Mine:

1. The Who is terrible. Just awful.

2. Nirvana is extremely meh. Their whole career/fame was just a right place, right time situation.

3. Post-punk is infinitely better than punk

4. Blur >>>>>>> Oasis

U2 is just plain terrible. Calling themselves the biggest band in the world is the biggest lie.

The Foo Fighters are almost as bad as bands like Hinder, Nickleback etc. Dave Grohl is a cool arse dude though.

Nirvana is meh and Kurt Cobain was annoying.

80s was the worst decade of music

Other than Pink Floyd, Ween is better than every band/musician mentioned in this thread.

Rap is the best genre of music.

It's unpopular at least on this board.

Lynyrd Skynyrd was overrated. Nothing special about that band other than the tragedy of the plane crash. It's generic southern rock.

I can't get into Bob Dylan's music although I appreciate what he did for music.

Depeche Mode and INXS are two of the most under appreciated bands of the 80s.

Licensed to Ill is a top 3 rap album of all time.

The Black Keys have already outlived their relevancy by about a year, and yet, they play on the radio every 5 songs or so, and are on every other commercial.
The Black Keys are, IMO, almost as awful as Mumford and Sons, and are similar to them in that:
They allow traditional pop-exclusive listeners to act like they are well-rounded and musically aware, when, in fact, these bands are extremely pedestrian in terms of talent.

American Aquarium is boring.

Radiohead is outright unenjoyable to listen to.
