He's not forgetting, he's being dumb on purpose as an overreaction to people calling him out as a reader.

What constitutes kingly blood? That's the real question. I'd say the Starks get a pass because they've always had lords in the north, not kings. But here's the rub -- now that Robb has declared himself king, is he or his lineage considered to have the blood of a king? I've toyed with this idea since last episode. My initial impulse is to say no, just because anyone can SAY they are a king. There must be some metaphysical determining factor that validates their existence and thus makes them viable for...whatever she does. Turns babies into shadows.

The Starks were Kings in the North for a long, long time before they bent the knee to the Dragons.

Also the most likely "kingly blood" I can think of is Gendry the Bastard.

Yeah that's Gendry. The kid that Ned went to go see BC Jon aryn went and saw him before he died.

King Roberts bastard.

I...did not know that. I thought they were lords that had always been allied with the Iron Throne. Thanks

Right, I just can't remember these names to save my life, especially since they're not real names and are just random collections of letters.

This may not be what you are wondering but what Robb wants is to 1 kill Joffrey and 2 not be apart of that anymore. Have the north be like completely separate and him be king in the north.

It was talked about when trying to get the girls back. He also wrote to Stannis that he wants him to be king but keep the north separate. Something like that.

May not be what you were curious to know but there it is either way

Gendry is a very interesting character. You would think that sense he's been in it so much and that he's now with arya that he is gonna play a big role at some point in the series

Yeah, that's way far away from my musing. I was referring to Melisandre's absence in this episode and her statement to Stannis that she needed the blood of a king for her poon shadows. I was wondering as to whether the Starks now had the blood of a king because Robb has declared himself king or if there is so e deeper component that determines that.

I think we talked at length about this last week. I think it must be Baratheon blood.

Did anyone else catch whose music was playing while Varys was opening the box??

Man, she makes the weirdest fricking faces sometimes. Something about her looks kinda off to me. She's attractive (let me emphasize that), but something is off...her eyes maybe.

She is fine. I just dont like her from the tudors and she rubs me the wrong way in this show. She is a sniveling count.

Since a Mod came in and changed the name of my title, can they fix this one too? It's "IS" not "HAS" been irking my OCD for the last few days.

Thanks

Listening to a podcast can't remember which one, mentioned how important theme music is. And that different families have different songs that play. I never noticed that much. I'd imagine that the same music they play for Mellisandre and Thoros/Beric was played, the theme for Red God.

What scene?

Gendry is the one holding her back. It can't have anything to do with him.

And yes, I'm back on Hugo's list. I told him to take me off but I was added back and didn't notice until recently. I'll respond to that in the other thread.
