I'll cut to the chase, it's disgusting. I purchased this with high hopes as I enjoy most other abita products, but I'm not sure how this one made it out of testing.

Never do that with an Abita product.

Maybe you will like it. I was expecting something light with a hint of lemon.....it's extremely strong and very heavy.

How long until Parish becomes the poster child of louisiana brewing?

I was creating my own 6 pack at Fresh Market today and I was so tempted and enticed to get one, just one. Needless to say, I passed. Reading this post makes me feel better about opting for a Lazy Magnolia Indian Summer instead.

Parish is great, but Nola is also doing some great things and let's not forget about the "newboys" coming up: Great Raft, Chafunkta, Mudbug, etc. It's an exciting time for the craft beer market in Louisiana.

I figured. I haven't tried it, but they lost me with "lemon".

I enjoy their regular wheat brew, and if I have one handy I may give it a small squirt of lemon, but this brew was conpletely over powering. Would love to know the opinion of someone else who has tried it.

I didn't think it was quite that bad... but it certainly wasn't something I would look for again.

Their Spring IPA was surprisingly not terrible, considering how bad Jockamo is.

drank a six pack was expecting something along the lines of a hefeweizen but no it's not light and the citrus notes are well hidden. It has a heavy unfiltered wheat taste and that's about it.

I don't think they were well hidden at all. The lemon flavor almost had a perfume quality to it and was very strong

That beer like most of their stuff just isn't that good. I thought the spring IPA was decent

I think the Abita Lemon wheat kinda blows. I was able to drink all of my sixer, but it wasn't an awesome experience by any means. However, the Abita Strawberry this year is excellent. A good bit better than last year's effort imo.

Someone brought some to my house and left a few in my fridge. I opened one to drink outside while I listened to the baseball game. Took one sip and poured it out, went back to the fridge for a Nola. This might possibly be the worst beer that Abita has ever made.

My thoughts exactly. I can choke down a Jockamo. Lemon Wheat is undrinkable.
