holy crap, just noticed that Arkansas has given up 83 runs in 34 games to our 90 runs in 34 games.

A sweep could happen, but 2/3 will be great on the road against Arky. Even though they have had some problems, they will be pumped to play LSU at home. They will likely take one.

I thought Stanek was playing Saturday? If so, I see that as a lower scoring game. 4-3 type range. LSU should take 2 of 3 but this will be a right series. Arkansas defense will have their hands full to not frick it up.

In fairness, it is bound to happen at some point. The fan base is on cloud 9. The team is rolling. Everyone is assuming 2/3 and most are thinking sweep. Just when you think you've got this game figured out, baseball will kick you in the nuts and show you that you don't know a thing.

If we hit, I see us with the sweep.
If we get into a couple of pitching duels, it's possible we lose one.
I do not see us losing the series though.

This is a tough series to gauge...LSU has been lights out for several weeks and really hasnt been tested except by Missouri on that Sunday afternoon game.
For Arkansas, this is there SEC West Championship series...if they do not win the series then their hope for a West Title and a possible regular season title is lost.
For LSU, this series keeps us on pace with Vandy. LSU needs to win the series 2 of 3 to stay in contention but a sweep will be glorious.
For the long term, an LSU series win on the road at Arkansas will set the stage for the next two big series with Alabama and South Carolina.

With McMullen settling in nicely at lead off now, Tigers have 7 of 9 starters hitting above .320 on the season. 7 of 9 starters also have an OBP of .400 or higher.

Not sure what all of these "shitty weather" concerns are about. I'm in Little Rock & the bad weather's moved out. Checked forecast for the weekend in Fayette Nam & it looks to be cool & clear. Unless we really "cool off" at the plate, I predict 2 out of 3, but expecting a Sweep. Wish I could be there but Family deal has me headed back to Louisiana. Geaux Tigers!

this is the 1 factor that looms large
would it be wrong to say Arky's pitching stats may be inflated a little bit b/c thier fielders have a strong case of the sucks?

Maybe, but their pitching is still very, very good.
