You have passed the test.
Now go start another GOT thread explaining your thoughts on Varys and be berated by people saying, "Another game of thrones thread?!?!?"
Would starting the thread in the Help Board be a good idea?

Post your Varys theory on the SEC Rant Ticket exchange and link it here if you wish.
Just say you accidentally posted on the wrong forum.

And it keeps coming on. I can't look away.

this is something i struggled with in S1. I think immunity to fire is different from immunity to molten metal. imagine dany getting that shite dumped on her i cant imagine her coming out fine and dandy
"Viseris was not a dragon"..... hence he died from the molten metal, IMHO.

is this really going to continue through today?
This. Before I went to bed last night this thread had returned to good discussion of the show with everyone behaving themselves, then someone came in who had been reading earlier pages and the shitstorm resumed.
tl;dr warning
I haven't caught up to the thread past your post quite yet, but I hope things have calmed down and show discussion has resumed.
As for no book readers ever posting in this thread, yeah, that's never gonna happen. What does someone who has read some of the books but not all do, create their own thread? People were yelling at someone in this thread who had read the first two books but not beyond, not wanting him in this thread. Do you know how ridiculous that is? He has no idea what is coming up on the show, let him post away and speculate all he wants.
As for me, yes I have read all the books, no I have not posted spoilers to my knowledge (please correct me if I am wrong and I will apologize). I also steer clear of any speculation or discussion of what may or may not happen in the future. I will not answer even simple questions about the show or book in here, hence my creation of the questions thread. I will try to create that thread each week (except for the first couple weeks in May when I will be in Italy). Show watchers who have a question for book readers may go there to ask in a safe environment where, it is my hope, book readers will answer the question in simple terms without giving away too much info or foreshadowing future events. Book readers, if you are in this show only thread and someone asks a question of book readers, DO NOT ANSWER, instead refer them to the questions thread where you can give the answer if you wish.
I may still make a show related comment in this thread from time to time, but I hope nonreaders will feel safe seeing my name and know there will be no spoilers in my post. Examples of I post I might make are contained in this thread. Things such as saying how much I liked the comments Jaime made to Brienne. I will try to keep my comments, as safe as they may be, to a minimum so as not to draw untoward attention to myself.
If I see a comment by someone else in this thread that crosses into spoiler territory I will in the future refrain from responding to this comment, even in a joking manner, so as not to draw additional attention to said comment. I will also RA the offending post so it can be removed if the admin decides such action is warranted. I will post in the book readers thread to try to get the offending party to edit their post in here.
Nonreaders, please try to not jump to conclusions and assume something inappropriate is being posted if you see my or another known book readers name. I know some of you would prefer that none of us ever post in "your" thread, but that just isn't realistic on an open forum such as TD.
I will also, in the future, try not respond to these petty fights between the readers and nonreaders. Any response by me to an attack only derails the thread further and takes away from show discussion.
As I stated last night, with a little cooperation and consideration of others, we can all get along and enjoy discussing the show, I hope.
I told you, tl;dr

She survived (and her clothes) dragonfire. Dragonfire> Molten metal

How can you not see that nobody can take anything said by a known book reader objectively? Intentional or not, fair or not - anything you say about the show will be scrutinized and over analyzed. Which is why none of should be commenting in here.
So even if we post nothing inappropriate we have to stay out the thread because some, not all, of you nonreaders are paranoid.
I need to start a GoT discussion therapy group. I could make a killing. The group will have to meet in Mississippi though, as that is where I'm licensed.

I wanted her to be good with it, but she literally just had a handful of lessons with a sword that has a lighter balance then what she was handling. I wasn't disappointed knowing that. She obviously has a long way to go and given where she's been thus far I think it served it's purpose in reminding us that she is in fact just a little girl.
As was pointed out to me last night in this same discussion, the wooden swords she was training with we're heavier than Needle, so the sword weight may not have been as much as a factor.

He wants power but I think he still really loves Kat. Now that Ned is gone I think he will do anything he can to get her whether by impressing her (not likely) or trickery/bribery (most likely).
People seem to have forgotten Littlefinger's cruel, violent streak from S1. I think he plans to do some disturbing things to Sansa. I'm pretty sure we'll end up hating him as much as Joffrey and Theon.
I just want the Red bitch to die. I hate her "dark and sinister" melodramatic bullshite.

Let em have it.
Maybe we can just try reading this one and posting in the other one.
Like I see a post about the sword, i want to comment. But then am afraid someone will think it was from the books and not the guy in season one.
Maybe it is for the best that we split the groups.

it kinda looked like Dany's shackles got burned off at the end. I was thinking either the dragons breathed fire on them and burned them off ORRR she became so angry, her skin got so hot that she melted the shackles off herself. Either way, if the dragons fire is different from regular fire, I don't think it harms her either way.
It looked to me that when the warlock guy died whatever magic was in the chains ceased and they just dissolved, but it could have been the dragon fire.
Eta: I now see this as been brought up.

Just clicked the thread and saw this. Nice, and that would be awesome.
