Jones Creek Cafe has crawfish bisque and it's really tasty.

Limited time only (crawfish season)....I highly suggest it.

I love a good bisque. Is it crayfish and corn?

Do they actually stuff the heads?

Yes...I've had it about 3 times. The heads have been kind of small, but the bisque has a delicious taste and it's a bit on the spicy side.

I might have to stop by for a bowl, I ordered some at Beausoliel a couple of weeks ago and it was terrible. No heads and it was full of cumin. WTF, cumin in bisque?

Do they take a credit card yet?
FYI, Kevin's on the Diversion has it year round...

Blasphemy is one word that comes to mind, going to the kitchen and killing a "chef" is a notion that pops into the head at the same time.

Wow, I'm pretty impressed that JCC stuffs the heads. Sounds good. Only problem is, I really have no other reason to go there.

I've had it and it's pretty good. Having said that I like Dons much better. And they stuff the heads too.

Are you talking about Don's in BR? What else is good there?

Best étouffée and crawfish bisque and probably the best seafood gumbo. The rest is about as good as anyone else. The fried stuff etc...

I assume you are talking about the original on Airline?

Agreed, am a fan of all three Don's on Airline products, often buy the $55 gumbo gallon to bring home and freeze in smaller ziplocs, has $25 to $35 in shrimp and crabmeat alone, and is a good roux color and flavor that isn't too dark nor too spicy for some folk's taste..appeals to a myriad of gumbo fan's palate.
Their bisque and stuffed heads are solid..as is Folse's store ready stuff at $20. Etouffee is pretty good too.

Disagree, though Don's Airline fried fare is decent enough, it's not on par with say Parrain's battering/frying, their hush puppies not on par with Drusilla's, their onion rings pretty good but a shade lower than Acme and Anderson's, and their sides far below Parrain's in quality and sophistication.
As for JCC, good to see them trying to serve decent fare again..I wrote them off years ago.

She brought some knew menu item out for us to try one night, I can't remember which one it was because once I found out it pushed her buttons I couldn't resist from that point on, but that woman got pissed! Poor George would put his head down every time she'd bring something out because he knew he had a long night coming.
