It's not big deal. Literally just collecting dust. Sitting on top of my printer unplugged, right next to my ASUS. I seldom have actually working equipment I can just give away, but this is one of those occasions, and I can 100% relate to your situation. How is she doing, by the way?

She is good. She got a cold about 2 days after we left the hospital and of course still has it 2 1/2 weeks later. The heart is not an issue right now though.

We did a heart echo last week and he said she is a good candidate to have it done again later this year but that is not a sure thing yet. We will just have to wait and see.

Yep, the colds seem constant and neverending. My nephew (born December 7 actually) has a cold and my brother is freaking out. Both of mine just got over a cold, as did I. But kids seem much less miserable with a cold than adults, whereas I thought mine was the flu.

Mine still hasn't been sick yet since she was born in October, we have been very lucky. I have just jinxed us now.

Looks dumb, wouldn't pay $300 for it, but their mice made me believe stupid looking things could actually work well.

The mice they sell look like shite, but are pretty damn comfortable and work well.

Just wanted to post an update on my custom sleeved cables. One of you guys had mentioned they had some bad reviews related to shipping, but I ended up rolling the dice with moddiy.com; I must say I am pretty happy with their service and the product. I have a Rosewill Photon 1200, which just recently came out, so they did not have the pin-out. I just had to take some photos and strip the cables down to get them the pin-out info. From the date I ordered to the date I received them took 13 days...not bad for them having to make up the cables and ship from Hong Kong. I would gladly order from them again and personally recommend them if anyone is interested in custom sleeved cables. Shipping included I paid $131.00.

They did a good job. Looks like they used the good kind of sleeving too. Not a bad price considering how tedious it is to do it yourself. They either have a machine that makes it hella efficient, or children working for pennies Because that shite takes hours.

Lol, yea...I'm leaning towards the poor kids, but who knows. I don't really know how many orders they deal with at a time, but from the time I sent them the pin-out info I had a tracking number less than 48 hours later. I was pleasantly surprised. It was definitely worth it for me, personally, to pay that price instead of putting myself through the "experience" of going at it myself for the first time.

I have all the parts that are going to be painted disassembled and prepped for paint. Hopefully I can have them all sprayed by Friday at the latest and begin assembly Saturday. I'm definitely ready to see it all come together.

Are you painting the fan shrouds yourself or having someone else do it? If the former, what paint are you using?

I'm doing it all myself. Pretty much all Krylon. On the GPUs I'm using the Fusion satin white on the black pieces and backplates, gloss purple on the blue shrouds (the purple matches my sleeving and fittings really well). The radiators and bay adapter will also be satin white and the RAM heatsinks will be Testors Chrysler yellow. I really wanted to do Testors Purple-Licious on the shrouds but it requires a clear coat, and everything is such a tight fit to assemble the GPUs already that I didn't want to take a chance on having too thick of a coat. I actually bought a couple cans of it anyway and if I get a wild hair might still give it a shot.

Cool. You can do good things with rattle can paint. I revamped an entire case with rustoleum a couple years ago:

After (actual photo)

Not sure what Acer was thinking with that design. It also had horrible airflow, so I cut holes in the top and side and added 120mm fans.

Hell yea, nice work. I forgot about those cases, always reminded me of the ships on Chronicles of Riddick lol. When I was in my early/mid teens I was big into model building and got pretty handy with an airbrush; its been a while since I've picked one up, so I'm just gonna stick with the rattle cans. I was planning on using a buddy's paint booth but doesn't look like its gonna be available so I guess I'm just gonna build myself a makeshift one out of a big box at work tomorrow.
