I don't know what I will do yet if I go that high up. I don't mind the cost of the 760 but the 770 is higher than I want to spend even if it does make sense.

I may be selling my 780 today. It looks like I may go 7990, 2x 7970, or 290(x). I want to jump back in the mining fun

What's the difference in:
AMD FD8320FRHKBOX FX-8320 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition
and
AMD FD8350FRHKBOX FX-8350 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition
is an 8350 and the extra $40 it costs THAT MUCH BETTER than the 8320?
--
Also, looking at the pcpartpicker, I see that cases only fit certain motherboards according to the lists. Will any mid case work for any motherboard? Or will I have to pay attention to which case can hold what?

If you are OC'ing, yes. The 8350 are better bins.
In your case, get the 8320. We are talking about OC's trying to get above 5.0GHz.
EDT:
I have never used PCPartpicker before because I believe the layout is terrible.
To answer your question, two different Mid-Tower cases are made. A mid-tower for ATX boards and a mid-tower for mATX boards.
What ever motherboard you choose, make sure the case is for full ATX or mATX.

Yea, i'm not going to be into overclocking or anything..
According to this list:
EDT:
CPU: AMD FX-8320 - $159
MOBO: MSI 970A-G43 - $69 ($59 after MIR)
GPU: MSI GTX 660 Ti 2GB $173
RAM: AVEXIR 8GB (2x4GB) 1.6Ghz - $62
PSU: SeaSonic S12II 620W - $69
and Amazon, a few things (namely the Graphics Card) are not in stock. I waited too long to make the purchases. So I need some help in revising the list. FWIW, I am wanting to go with this case:
Rosewill Black SECC Steel USB 3.0 Mid Tower Computer Case REDBONE U3
I am dead serious on acquiring the help from the braniacs in here. I know I have been a PITA recently, and I greatly apologize. However, i've got the money and I am ready to click buy now on the recommendations by y'all.

As recommended by the ones in the know, be sure you check evga's b stock for video cards, I got mine from there last night for several hundred less than retail.

No. It's the MSIs.
Do you even build bro?

No I don't build
Hence why I came here, and no I am not 14 either just want a red/black case that looks cool. If I could, I would throw that shite in a standard black box that costs $10 and let my son draw all over the bitch
ETA: When I say I don't know shite about computer building I literally mean I don't know shite.
ETA #2: My new budget is now $700 (tax, monitor, keyboard/mouse needs to be included). I convinced the Mrs. to up the price a bit for me

What is wrong with MSI?
My favorite MOBO and GPU maker next to EVGA.

Not a fan. More of a personal preference, not an issue with MSI's products

I understand, they make the best looking plain black boards which perform awesome.
Weird hearing anyone say they don't like MSI, "personal performance" or not. I would never purchase their Blue Boards for a main rig, but have used them in spares. Same with the ugly Red ASUS boards.

At least he's being honest about not having a legitimate reason. A lot of people RMA one component and tell the world to avoid that brand forever because they had "nothing but problems."

I just looked through some benchmarks by the way and noticed that while some games that favored AMD have very little difference between the 760 and 7870, there are many other games that have as much at 10-15 fps difference. I'm hoping for a 770 but if I upgrade to a 760 for under $50 I think that is worth it. The biggest hold up for upgrading is just the lack of current games to even push a card. I don't think the south park games is going to throttle my gpu too much

I have a R9 270X sitting here if anyone maybe wants to buy it. I bought it and never even used it.

ETA: I also have a brand new Corsair H40
