Just got my steelseries Siberia v2s in today. Haven't had much time to test them, but they are very comfy. I'm pretty happy I got them for $40

Yup but from newegg. I've seen them on one sale a day pretty often, but I hate ordering from them.

The wire on the 2.5mm audio jack on mine are what messed up. I stripped the rubber and tried to re-solder them but the solder wouldn't take for some reason.

I have 3.5mm on mine. Did yours come with that USB virtual surround card thing as well? I was surprised when I saw mine had come with it.

not gaming but PC related.
My laptop I bring with me on the road for school is a HP Pavilion dv6626us. It has windows vista on it and runs like shite for the most part. I can get windows 7 or 8 through my school for under $10.
Will this make a difference in my performance and if I install the new windows, will all my old programs and school stuff still be on here?

ILikeLSU helped me put together a super simple and cheap surfing build for a friend of mine which includes an APU. We initially put 2x2 of gskill 1600, but I noticed that the price went up today. They had a 1x4 1866 gskill for $40. I know APUs favor faster speeds. Does the benefit of dual channel outweigh the faster speed? I have heard dual channel doesn't make that much difference. Either way the guy isn't gaming so it probably won't matter, but I wanted to get the guy the best bang for the buck.

I like that board a lot, if you still have it in March I will hit you up on it. I've got a cruise coming up for mardi gras, so money is headed all there lol
