Anyone been? If so, what did you think? Worth the $30?

It's worth more than that.

Care to elaborate? I'm thinking about going but the website doesn't provide much information.

You get to drink as much beer as you want for 3 hours. Yes its worth it. Tons of cool and interesting homebrews plus the big guys.

Great time to be had. All the beer you can drink in 4oz samples. Live music in a really nice setting. Very well done event and surprisingly the lines weren't even that bad last year. The SO already got our tix for this year.

What exactly are you looking for with a question like that?

Well, the site provides only generic info about the beer and entertainment. Are you limited as to how many beers you can try? Does the crowd suck? Are the lines so long that most of the 3 hours are spent waiting in line? Is the setup cool or does it leave something to be desired? I'm just looking for what people who have been before think.

Drink as much as you want.

The last couple years have been pretty good from what I remember. I think they've learned their lesson.

Set up is great. Takes place under the oaks at the Rural Life Museum.

Same weekend as Tbois. Too much going on in SLA this time of year, but I love it.

I'd pay the $30 just to go taste the latest brews from several of our FBD brewmasters. I think one of the local homebrew clubs that BMoney, LSUBoo and others participate in will have more than 50 offerings there, and there will be many of those that top any of the mainstream or commercial craft beers you've ever had.

Went last year, it's amazing. I went to the NOLA beerfest this year, and Zapp's blows it out the water.
Unfortunately for me, i will not be going this year. I was informed a couple weeks ago that we have a stock the bar party we have to go to, on that same day. And its at 4....
Tip: Stay at the homebrew tables. Those beers are way more interesting than the craft breweries.

stock the bar party
This is a thing? I'm guessing people bring a bottle of booze over to make a couple drinks with and then leave it behind at the host's house? Hmmm, I might have to hold a Stock Bottomland's Kegerator party.

I'm getting married soon. I'm assuming that's why all my friends are traveling to New Jersey and Italy and Shopping online for beer so much. : )
