The LSU Tigers are going to Lambeau Field. LSU and Wisconsin are finalizing their plans for neutral site games to open the 2014 and 2016 seasons and a contract is expected to be signed next week, LSU associate athletic director Verge Ausberry said Wednesday.
LSU will play the Badgers in Reliant Stadium in Houston to open the 2014 season and the Tigers will venture to the Packers history home in Green Bay to play the Badgers in a return game in the 2016 opener.

LSU and Tulane officials are having informal discussions about playing each other in the 2015 season opener on Sept. 5 in the Superdome, LSU senior associate athletic director Verge Ausberry said Thursday.
---------------
"We have had informal discussions with the people at Tulane," Ausberry said. "We have to agree to a price. It's a good game for both schools, both schools will make money.
"We want seats in good locations for our fans. How many seats we get and where we get them is what we need to work out to get this done."

Ausberry said LSU is also pursuing a major BCS conference opponent to play in Tiger Stadium on Sept. 12, 2015. The Tigers are scheduled to play Arizona State at home in that game slot, Sept. 12, and then in Tempe in 2016, but Ausberry said he doesn't want to play Arizona State and Wisconsin in 2016. So, LSU is pushing back the Arizona State home-and-home to later years and bringing in another 2015 foe.

THE FLATS - Georgia Tech filled an opening in its future non-conference football schedules by agreeing to play the Mercer Bears in 2016.
Mercer, which resumes football competition this fall after 72 years of dormancy, will compete on the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level. As part of the agreement, Mercer must increase its scholarship numbers by 2016 to meet the minimum standards set by the NCAA.
The addition of Mercer in 2016 is in line with Georgia Tech's plan to schedule in-state non-conference opponents. The Yellow Jackets will host Georgia Southern in 2014 - the first ever meeting between the two teams - and Tech continues to play rival Georgia annually.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The 2015 Penn State football schedule is near completion with today's announcement that the Nittany Lions will host San Diego State on Sept. 26 in Beaver Stadium.
The two programs have never collided on the football field. Penn State has one non-conference game left to be scheduled to complete the 2015 schedule.

holy shite that would be so awesome.
if VT ever gets into the SEC I hope they are our cross division rivals. (no offense USCe, we just have more in common with them.)
Also, if VT comes to College Station in 2015 our renovations should be done and those god awful seats will be no more.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - ESPN Regional Television (ERT), a subsidiary of ESPN, announced the creation of the Camellia Bowl, a postseason college football game matching-up the Sun Belt Conference against the Mid-American Conference (MAC) beginning in December 2014. The game will be played yearly at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala., before the Christmas holiday and be televised nationally on ESPN or ESPN2.
“The Raycom All-Star game helped shine a new light on the city of Montgomery, and we took notice,” said Pete Derzis, Senior Vice President & GM, ESPN Regional Television. “From stadium improvements and opportunities for quality hospitality, to the downtown hotel properties, rich history and the wonderful museums like the Rosa Parks Center, it all came together for us. We have two conference partners excited about the bowl, a community we believe is hungry for a quality postseason event and civic and business leaders that have a great can-do spirit.”

Too bad Johnny Football wont be around in '16 & '17. Sounds like he would have been visiting Lane Stadium.
Sorry, did not get a chance to Post this yesterday, but this comes from the former sportscaster with lots of connections to VT.
Getting closer and closer to being finalized
