so we don't know how good he really is against tough competition.

The fact that both guys are black has no bearing on whether or not you are racist.
With people like you, I always wonder if you are secretly Chicken's alter, created and posting to generate page views.

Blue was on an entirely different level (before the injury) than the rest of those RBs.
Entirely different level? Get real. Hilliard actually outgained Blue in 2 of the 3 games Blue played and what Hill did in the last 7 games against SEC opponents and Clemson was far more impressive than what Blue did against North Texas, Washington and Idaho.

Hill>Blue>>Hilliard>Magee
Hill runs so smooth for his size, he has speed to run out people, and quick enough to hit the hole.
Blue hasn't played top talent as the main back, all of his carries usually came in garbage time.He is an exceptional athlete, and has excellent vision.
Hilliard is a sledge hammer but doesn't have the speed like Chuck Scott did.
Magee is a solid change of pace back, i hope we can see him play.

Ive never seen a sledge hammer avoid contact and shy away from it. Hilliard needs to get mean. Biggest RB on the team, but the least physical. He needs to run like Ware did, behind his pads and whoever gets in his way will def feel the hit. If he did that, he will be great. But hasnt done it so far. Kenny runs too high for me and for his size avoids contact. A little soft.

I believe Blue, is suppose to be one hell of a receiving back

Funny you mention Kevin Faulk. He WAS a good back, and a very good 3rd down back in the pros. BUT There was a time tho his junior year when he couldn't get on the field - Cecil Collins. But he hung in and when the Diesel went down he was there. Lets hope they both stay healthy and play.

Hill is better than Blue. Blue fan all over North Texas, Washington, and Idaho. Hill ran all over SEC defense. That said, I still think Blue is a damn good running back and an even better all around football player. It's going to be a nasty 2 headed monster next year. Hill has already proven more than Bue. He's proven he can tote the rock all game against SEC opponents and not wear down. Blue hasn't shown that yet. And I get why everyone loves Blue, he's the epitome of a fan favorite that has played on ST, worked hard to get where he's at, and is a good guy. And he's without a doubt our #2, and its not like he's even that far behind Hill. Blue is a stud. Hill is something special though. 6'2 235lbs that can pound it in the middle and still have the speed to outrun everybody on the field. He broke a lot of long runs this season and looked to be plenty fast enough.
This is all that needs to be said. Both will shine, I don't see a better tandem in the country. This will be Faulk and Cecil or Faulk and Mealey all over again.

Blue and Hill are different types of backs. Hill is more power. Blue is smoother with more speed and has some power also. Great 1 2 punch. They compliment each other. Both will get plenty of carries.

True but lets all hope that Hilliard pulls a Ford and fixes that issue. Ford was the absolute worst at trying to stay up after contact when he first saw the field. Not worth a shite up the middle or even off tackle. But he fixed that and was a real bruiser getting yards after contact and bulling his way forward.
Coaches worked with him on that obviously and it paid off. Just think Hilliard can be just as good as Hill if the coaches work that same magic!
3rd as of now but that doesn't mean it can't change.

Agree with almost all of that. But, I dont see him ever being as good as Hill. Even if he starts running pissed off and crushing people, his lack of speed would still hold him back. He would def be a good RB if he runs mean. But, if he and Hill both ran with the same attitude, Hills speed would still separate him. Hilliard is a poor mans Hill. Not as physical, not as strong, def not as fast. Not a bad RB by any means, but just a little soft.
IMO, Hills breakaway speed is what makes him so dangerous. At his size, 6'2 235, he has great quickness and speed to go along with his tackle breaking ability and strength. I think a lot of teams underestimate how fast he is because of his size. His skill set and speed is very rare for a guy with his size.
And people saying Blue is faster than Hill, Im not so sure. You put them in a race it would be neck and neck IMO. Wouldnt surprise me if Hill is actually faster. Hes just as fast IMO.

If by "all walk" you mean injury prone then yes Blue is all walk. He has a lot of impressive tools except one. The ability to run inside consistently without getting hurt. If Les runs him inside Blue won't make mid season. Let Hill do the heavy lifting and inside running.

hill running with the 2's doesn't mean anything fwiw
No knock against Blue, but as long he's wearing the green jersey and not getting hit, we won't know if he's really back. Hill will get all the meaningful live work.
I sure hope Blue will be 100% mentally and physically by the start of the season. We really need certainty at that position with questions still surrounding the passing game.

I wish Blue the best, though Hill clearly showed he was above the rest of the pack. Blue performed against not-so-strong opponents, late season is when it counts and Hill was there.

All I know is I was very disappointed with Hilliard last year.
He needs not step up his game. More like double it.

He was one of the smoothest athletes we've seen at that position in quite some time.
+1
Granted I would love to see Jeremy make a Heisman run, if Blue is back in full form, I have no issues with them splitting. What a combo. Who's starting is irrelevant.
