I've been on this board awhile and I've never seen anyone explicable type out, "Lee is my favorite player" just as you claim you haven't seen anyone do same with JJ. I have seen people defend both to their damnedest while putting the other down.

However, you've already made your mind up about how this board is and believe those who defended JJ didn't do it because he was their favorite but because he was the lesser of two evils, while those who defend Lee did so because he was their favorite player. So an argument (or debate even though it will be an argument since your mind has been made up) is pointless. So back to SECr for me where the posters are a bit more logical than the a tiger Rant (not that it is saying much).

Folks, it's over. Let it go. We're a full year removed from it.

considering what he did for that team he deserved better.

He got to start eight games untill he proved he still wasn't up to facing a Alabama defense. If he hadn't folded his tent and played like the JL of old in the first Alabama game, he doesn't give up his starting.

I'm not JJ's parent. He was a mediocre QB. Your dumping on JJ doesn't bother me, Mr. Lee.

Aw, you are butthurt over me not thinking JL was an answer to either Georgia or Alabama.

Sorry, Mr. Lee.

Never once said Jefferson was my favorite player. I'm supporting the coaches for putting who they thought was best in there.

But people like TigrLee get all emotional about it and start crying over Lee's hurt feelings because his coach didnt play him. Do you see how ridiculous that sounds? Some of y'all crying about "fairness", "equality" and hurt feelings over qb play time. I'm sorry that I don't think lee was as mentally fragile as many of his biggest fans think he is.

Trying to dog on the coaching staff because they chose one below average qb over the other is hilarious at this point.

odd then that you and the rest of the milsenistas take swipes at other players like RS and JL.

your hypocrisy destroys your claim of "defending"

When the flying frick have I ever said anything negative about Shep? As for Lee, I'm on record here DEFENDING the kid for what Miles and Crowton pout him through in 2008. They crippled the kid and he never had a shot. The fact that after that I thought JJ was a slightly better option is in no way belittling Lee, just an opinion on the matter. And my defending of Jefferson was always just that. Defending an LSU player who was being dogged on by his fan base because they either liked his competition better, found him a bad player, or disliked him personally. Yeah...I stood up for the kid. In retrospect, I'd do it again...because I pull for the name on the side of the helmet and not the one on the back of the jersey.

If I had done what you suggested, you'd be right. Since I did no such thing, you're battling a strawman. Enjoy.

BS!!

Lee finished the season as the SEC pass efficiency leader, ESPN All-SEC Sr team QB, played in 2 All-Star games, and was the #3 QB for the Chargers

JJ finished the year with 2 of the worst QB performances in the passing era at LSU (16/30 for 83 yds and 1 int), was asked to switch positons by the Bucs, said No, and was cut in 3 days.

I hope you didn't hurt yourself with that stretch. He was #3 for how long?

Doesnt surprise me that JJ fans know so little about football.

Several NFL teams only keep 2 QBs on the active roster, but have a 3rd guy as their fallback. The Jets did it with McElroy. He had to be activated in order to be given the starting job. Had Rivers or TD Jesus been hurt, Lee gets activated as the back-up.

Why?

For the same reason Miles decided we needed a new OC. The offense had not been as good since Lee was benched. LSU was rolling in earlyy 2011, then came JJ

You might possibly be the dumbest poster on this board. And that takes a lot.

Most NFL teams call up their 3rd QB who that kept during pre-season, rather than hire a QB off the street - that doesnt know the playbook or the personnel.

McElroy got the opportunity, Lee did not. Its not that complicated. Had Sanchez not sucked, would you still be laughing when somone stated that McElroy was the Jets #3?

LSU offense was rolling in the 3 final regular season games with JJ as QB. It was the only point in the season where LSU put up 400+ yards in 3 consecutive games, in fact LSU totalled 450+ yards in that each game during that stretch.

Also scored 41+ points in each of those 3 games.
