I have bought just about every other damn thing turkey blinds, chair blinds, cracked corn, box, slate, mouth, pull, to owl and crow calls etc to decoys. But do you really need or should I say do my kids (10-13) need a scope for a shotgun for a 20-30 yard shot? Mossburg 500.

If so what is best cheap option. (If I get a turkey it has already cost me a grand.)

Thanks

I already got a scope on my 10/22. Much more accurate than a shotty.

No, I've got a Burris Fast Fire on my turkey rig though. I love the single point of aim, but it is more of a want than a need.

If you are a dumbass and can't shoot.... absolutley.
If not, then the answer is no.
I dont think Id be able to keep from LOL at somebody that had a scope on the old 12 guage.

Of course this is coming from a man that squirrel hunts with a 22 with iron sites.

at the end of the barrel there should be a small bead for help in aiming. save your scope money.

In short no, the turkey scopes really pay off for very close shots (10 yards or less) and long shots (40+ yards and questionable ethically)...
