Angels fans: Concerned with Mike Trouts weight gain?

There have been reports that he's gained up to 30-40lbs, I'm guessing its more like 10-20. Apparently the Angels aren't concerned, but should they be? If anything as a fan I would be slightly concerned that maybe he needs a better off season work program, but after last year he probably deserved some down time.
So Angels fans are you worried at all? Will it affect him?

Who knows, but he had an incredible year last season and if he doesn't match it this year, people will say it's because he's a lazy fat arse.

“He's running great, he feels great,” Scioscia said. “He's not too far from where he played at last year. Everything he has is muscle. His body composition is still terrific.”
Trout raised some eyebrows earlier this spring when he revealed the weight gain, which puts him at about 241 pounds, according to reports. It was preventative, Trout said: He normally loses five to 10 pounds during the season
Remember he came in lighter last year because of the virus in spring training as well...

He's diff a little chubbier but it's not near as much weight as they are making it out to be. He put on about 10 or 15, you can see it in his face

He says he's just as fast.
Will be funny when he tests positive.

I dk how much it will affect him but there is definitely some chubbyness that is not muscle in there

He just got a hold of Pujols' HGH supply is all.

I don't think it should be a concern this season, but it could cause some problems down the road. Andruw Jones gained weight toward the middle of his career, he remained the best defensive outfielder in the game for several more seasons, but eventually the weight destroyed his knees and he lost his great range. It also hurt him at the plate. Almost overnight he went from arguably the greatest defensive outfielder of all time to a DH.

He'll be at his weight from last year after a month into the season.

He's going to play left field which requires less range. I also think he is going to try to hit for more power. No, not worried. Can't wait for the season to start.

He will go on the usual path of athletic power hitters who can run....have a few more seasons with high-end steal totals then taper off like A-Rod. In a few years, he'll be lucky if he gets to 10 SBs. Also means he will move to a corner outfield position soon

Much ado about nothing I think.
You lose weight during spring training and the season, so he should be fine.

This is funny. The kid is 21 and will be stealing bags for more than just a few more seasons.
Also, he will be playing LF this year.

Peter Bourjos in CF, Trout in LF, and Hambone in RF
