I really really liked pokemon. I could beat anyone...but then I got Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced and I was blown away.
I think I can still name upwards of 85% of the original pokemon.

I haven't played since Diamond/Pearl. (Missed Black/White, Soul Silver/Heart Gold, Black2/White2).
I'll likely be picking up the newest ones to get back into the series.
Some people may guffaw at the fact that it is Pokemon, but if you dig beneath the surface and actually look at the mechanics of the game, it is a really solid RPG.

Sadly I'm guilty I've beaten just about every one. And yes the gold silver and crystal games are still the best ones.

SoulSilver was one of my favorite games of all time
I tried and failed multiple times to get into Black/White, never played B2/W2, but I'm really excited for X and Y coming to the 3DS
