I am wanting to get a suppressor for a Ruger 10/22. I found a compnany to thread the barrel, but I don't know where the best place to buy the suppressor is. Does anyone have one and can recommend how to go about getting one?
Thanks in advance.

Check youtube for Oil Can Supressor.
ETA A buddy of mine has a real one for his AR15, took him a few months to go through everything IIRC.

Start here under the Class III forums. FYI, you are looking at a 9-12 month wait, $200 to the ATF, and some other stuff...

why link another forum when you could just tell him what he needs to know. Chicken doesn't want to send traffic elsewhere.

I can do the NFA trust documents for you. The best LOCAL place to get suppressors is from Big Boy Armament.
He has a shop in his house in Walker, right off of I-10, and probably has 100 or more suppressors.

Because class III stuff is very complicated with trust vs non trust, how to fill out forms, wait times etc. No need to reinvent the wheel on something like this...

Care to go into detail on how you make the trust? I'm curious about this...

I got my trust made by a lawyer in NOLA. He is highly recommended by myself and dozens of other people on BayouShooter. His price is far below $500 and can have it ready in a matter of days.
ETA: while $500 is not a bad price, you have to consider that all these attorneys do is swap around a few names and addresses. They all did the initial draft years ago and its an hours worth of work for each one now.

$325 in NOLA.
But I was told that LA trust are much different than other states. I have a friend in Laffy that is about to start doing them for $300.

You can pay as little as $300 or as much as $1000 in Louisiana. Louisiana trust laws are different than the other states, so the programs like "willmaker" etc. won't work in this state.
That said, it would be hard to do one in an hour as stated above, even having the nuts and bolts of the form roughed out.
I figure it takes about 1.5-2 hours total, including the time to get all the information from the client, answer all their questions, draft it, have them add a trustee, remove a trustee, meet with them in your office to notarize it, etc.
If you are looking for the best deal, there are certainly people in other parts of the state that do it for less and their trusts are good.

Can you have a trust that includes a SBR and a suppressor, or are those 2 different trusts? I know it takes 2 tax stamps

Same trust. Both items are listed on your from A though. One trust for all class 3 items.

I wasnt by any means trying to undercut you. I have no dog in the fight. I just know the guy I used comes highly recommended and what his price is. I do know that there are lots of people that charge lots more than you do too.
Very good point about the willmaker and such. I am sure more than one person has been screwed by this in LA.
