I have heard that the coach at JC hates LSU and tells all of his players to go other places. I have noticed that one of there players is coming ot LSU. I don't really know who their top players are and who has come to LSU in the past. My simple question what players are on the current roster who are from JC and were there any successful players at LSU who came from JC.

more complex do you think the limited number of people coming from JC will continue in the future or will change for our favor.

Also what players who didn't pick LSU from JC had at-least a good college career.

outside of Joe McKnight, I am hard pressed to think of a player we really wanted who went elsewhere

JT is not a fan of LSU. I believe this is related to Johnny Curtis not getting a scholarhisp when Arnsparger or Archer was the head coach.Johnny ended up at Miss. St. I think we want Young and possibly Dupre next year; if we get them fine, if not, c'est la vie.

I went to school with J. T. and my nephew is in the 8th grade, fast as lightning, can run and throw.
He would never try and control a young man, he is a good teacher in and out of the classroom. Remember when he was offered an asst. coaching job with LSU.

I don't know the names or numbers but it seems to me that a lot of their players go to Tulane type FBS schools or FCS schools like Nicholls, Southeastern, etc... They have their big recruits too obviously.

You heard wrong. There was a little deal-e-o in the 80's where he was "promised" the OC position and got snubbed by Archer but I think JC never really held that against LSU.

your thread doesn't deserve a response but...

Mike Stonebreaker, Jonothan Wells, Tony Bua, Reggie Dupard, Steve Clark...

historically Curtis has not had the number of signees that most people think.

Since 2000, every kid from Curtis who had an LSU offer has come to LSU besides Joe McKnight. You'll hear debate on whether Roby Green had an offer or not, but I don't think he did.

JT doesn't mind where his kids go, per se, as long as they have scholarships which is one of his big goals. If a kid wants to go to LSU he will help him get there, and Curtis has sent plenty kids there. Just from last year you have Dillon Gordon and Malik Morgan.

You also have to understand that there are some coaches (or personal trainers which is big in high school sports now) which would prefer to see guys they work with go or not go to specific schools. That plays a part.

Also, there is a lot of stuff that goes on in the recruiting process that can leave a coach jaded against a school, and even LSU can do some pretty stupid things in the recruiting process. I know for a fact certain coaches at schools around New Orleans would prefer to see their athletes go other places..

Another thing I will say, though, is that the Curtis coaches are very football savvy, and they watch a good bit of college football and know which coaches can coach and which can't.

As you've seen my the smartass responses this topic has been discussed a lot on these boards

It is a myth that JT Curtis hates LSU and steers players away from LSU. However, since a lot of people hate Curtis and there are guys from there that went to other schools. Most of the more prominent ones were when LSU was down, with the exception of McKnight. LSU has done well with Curtis guys in the 2000's. With Riley on board this year, there are 2 very good players that are LSU is in good shape for in 2014, WR Dupree and LB Young.
