Stars are BS. Half the guys don't get rated until they commit to an AQ program. I'm more interested in offers than anything. One guy could be 3 stars on scout, 2 on rivals and 4 on 247.
Beating out Stanford is a big deal for us, yes.

No. Mostly 2* and 3*s, but as he said there's a lot of guys that won't even get evaluated. There are no recruiting services that do a very good job of keeping up with kids unless they commit to an DI school.

This crap matters for about 7 teams....Bama, LSU, Notre Dame, USC, Oregon, Texas and Florida. Until signing day the other 101 teams can't count on anything until the papers are signed.
And these stars are good for only the top players in the nation....the rest is luck.
