Rank the Batman films

So, just finished the second part of "The Dark Knight Returns", and as usual with Bruce Timm, they just nail it perfectly. I still have a problem with Robocop voicing Batman (seriously why not bring back Kevin Conroy who is the definitive Batman), but Michael Emerson as Joker just nails it and think he's a better match for this material than the legendary Mark Hamill (a hell of a compliment). The Joker is incredibly disturbing and violent in this, giving Ledger somewhat a run for his money. Superman vs Batman was great as well, and think it was a pretty much perfect adaptation of the graphic novel.
With that said, I'm going back and ranking the films (and I'm combining The Dark Knight Returns). You don't have to rank them all, just the ones you've seen.
1) The Dark Knight
2) The Dark Knight Rises
3) Mask of the Phantasm
4) Batman Begins
5) The Dark Knight Returns
6) Year One
7) Under the Red Hood
8) Return of the Joker
9) Batman
10) Batman Returns
11) Batman (1960s)
12) Batman Forever
13) Batman and Robin

I have no clue what most of this means

Willing to bet you haven't seen any of them, especially considering that all of those so called "cartoons" are much darker and more mature than Burton's Batman. Burton's Batman couldn't decide if it was going to be dark or just silly. None of those animated films are silly. People get beaten to death and shot and stabbed repeatably in these films, not to mention mass murder. In Burton's Batman, Joker is not in the least bit intimidating and pretty much does nothing of importance at the end, when in all the other animated films I listed he is pretty fricking terrifying and completely ruins Batman's life as well as all his loved ones. There are actual stakes and long term consequences in these movies, but who gives a shite with Burton's Batman? Burton's Batman had younger kids in mind compared to The Dark Knight Returns or Year One.
As far as Phantasm being higher than Begins, I like Batman's origin more in Phantasm than I do in Begins. Both excellent movies which I juggle on which I like more, but really Phantasm contains without question in my mind the greatest scene in any Batman film, and it puts it over the top for me: The Birth of Batman
The fact that you diss them for being animated speaks more for your maturity level. I guess Archer and South Park are for kiddies as well since they're animated.

It's an animated film from Bruce Timm, that is based on the legendary graphic novel of the same name. Probably next to Watchmen, its probably the most influential comic book ever written. The first half came out in October, but the second half just leaked on the internet. You can find them, but try to get them legally if you can. Here's the wikipedia article: LINK

Yeah, I hate it when people get all ignorant and dismiss these kind of movies because they're animated. If they would just even look at a preview for it, they would change their minds somewhat.
The animated films WB have been doing are really a hidden gem. They're great. But people dismiss them because they're cartoons.
