ate at the one in Los Angeles and thought it was pretty good. Saw last week that they opened one in Baton Rouge. Anyone tried it and how would you rate it?

It can be real busy on the weekends. Their (BJ's) beer is contracted through St. Arnold, but will taste the same as any of the other locations.
BJ's is one of the few restaurants that has a large menu that I enjoy.

it's one of the better chains IMO, but my opinion is probably based on the beer selection.

I give it a big "meh". Over priced, food is alright. Beer is good though

Spot on. It's a nicer version of Bennigan's with a better beer selection/quality. Nothing to go nuts over.

I really enjoy their snack menu. Everything is under $5, and 2-3 will fill me up.
The biggest seller on BJ's for me is that it is one of the only places in BR serving food late night.
I can only handle so much breakfast food and Plucker's.

Maybe because the interior is ok and atmosphere is good, so you'd expect something better than bar food.. and definitely better service.

I've heard their root beer is the tits

I've been twice, worst service I've ever had. Food and beer were ok, but i would not recommend to anyone.

I've never had problems with the service, but I always sit at the bar. It's OK. If it wasn't right across from a movie theater, I would never go there.

Haven't had a bad experience there. Food is good. Beer is good. People say service is bad, but I don't see it.

Restaurants in Lafayette are having this problem too most notably Cheddars which I thought was horrible...

As a resident of lafayette, very seldom do I have bad service anywhere in this city.
Posted on 1/21/13 at 5:08 pm to TigerHam85
a lot of people complained about the service at Cheddars when they opened. That was the main one that I was thinking of...
Posted on 1/21/13 at 5:13 pm to tiger perry
I have heard that before, but It's not often you catch me in a chain, unless I have a friend that works there.

Shitty service, decent food.
