With OJ the situation was a little bit different. I believe he was guilty of killing a woman and an unsuspecting man, then running from it.
In no way am i condoning any sort of murder. OJ's seemed planned, and carried out in a very brutal manner.
With Ray, a fight broke out and his partners may have done the deed in the spur of the moment. I dont know, thats just my opinion when compared to OJ though.
Courtroom issues are complicated. When you choose to go to trial its not a 50/50 chance. I cant tell you what his lawyers advised him to do but usually taking a plea is like saying, "you can START to move on with your life and put this behind you, because of you choose to go to trial you're putting your life in the hands of 12 strangers who dont want to let another OJ incident occur etc etc etc" (all speculation, i dont know what exactly was said, just saying possibilities)
And there is Ray in his 20's possibly thinking, "If i take this deal that was offered to me, i can begin to move on"
not condoning any of it, shitty it all went down. not saying he's learned any lesson or is a great human being because i dont know him.
But i am pulling for the Ravens.

Then why did he take a plea deal and settle out of court? He paid those families a shite ton of money so it would all go away.

I can pull for Reed, Flacco and Boldin, but if I have to see Ray make another fake arse scene like the 3 he made sunday I may lose my shite. The media gobbles it up while the rest of the team just lets him do his "thang".
people can blame the media all they want... but he creates these "look at me" scenes every fricking game knowing damn well theyre watching and gonna splooge all over him.
How is this not nauseating to most fans???

probably just wanting to go out with a bang. i really dont pay attention to the things he says.
I'm hoping for Reed to get a ring though.

I think it being his last run and a cinderella one at that has just made it all 10x bigger.
Being that its his last year makes all this easier for "most fans" to handle if that is a answer.
Mouth ya got 13 more days and the Ray Ray media train is just getting started as I'm sure you know
Bourbon helps alot FWIW!

@chad504boy
You had to post that shite, didn't you?
It made me sick watching that crap yesterday. Like real garbage, it doesn't get better the next day.
There's is something seriously wrong with that guy!

Yes I agree with the whole 1st/2nd degree murder thing, but my issue is that the only reason OJ and Ray Lewis are walking free is because they are wealthy famous people. My opinion on the position that "the system works" can be summed up thusly: bullshite
I suppose I don't know the facts, I wasn't there, and all of that, but common sense tells me you don't pay huge sums of money to the family of someone you didn't kill.
Whatever, Hope Flacco gets his ring so we can have some more lulz at his "I'm Elite" talk that is sure to follow.

very very shallow view point. obviously the intricacies are more in depth than that.

total agreement here. but hell, look at that Casey Anthony chick..wasn't famous, athletic or even really liked. Thats the thing with "the system", justice is blind..so it doesnt know where the frick it's going. So if you have money and can afford to bypass the bullshite, if it's the case, i cant say i blame them for trying.

I would like to see Ed Reed get a ring. And I wouldn't mind Lewis going out on top.

Good point. Maybe I've heard biased accounts of the Ray Lewis situation, and although I am being obtuse with Chad, I can definitely understand that there comes a point where even if you are innocent, that it benefits you to pay off the family rather than try to "clear your name".
Meh, best part about the superbowl = Return of CSP
