Oakley and Sweeting were acquitted of the charges in June 2000 on the basis of self-defense. No other suspects have ever been arrested for the crime.

why would they arrest someone else when they were acquitted on self defense?

he wasn't ever considered to actually be the murderer. Eye witnesses claim he was trying to break up the fight

Case in point, I haven't ever heard it told like that. Still, from what I understand, being an accessory to murder involves more than a slap on the wrist.

except they were acquitted on self defense any way. He was guilty of obstruction of justice. He was targeted by the prosecution because of who he was IMO

there were gun casings found next to the victim's bodies, and one of them had attacked with a bottle. Hence, the self defense acquittal. Also, the knife found at the scene provided no fingerprints and didn't have blood on it.

Ray was guilty of hanging out with idiots, which he supposedly has corrected and is good in the community. I don't like his whole God look at me BS, but I'm pretty confident he isn't a murderer

well, I think when your famous..its almost impossible to completely clear your name anyways.
we saw a sample of that this year with Vilma.

and i agree, im ready for the coach to come back. Im interested to hear his views from this past year, and watch him use our divisional opponents as an outlet for his rage.

Me too, although I bet we only get the cursory "Obviously the team was disappointed, and I was disappointed for them, this year we have a lot of work to do, blah blah blah..."

but behind the scenes he is like:

"We're going to do something about this so calld 'defense' "

How can any Saints fan pull for the hated 49ers? They were the thorn in the Saints forever. They are a hated rival forever.

Add to that the lucky BS from last year and there's reason to never pull for the 9ers EVER. Their fans are crap and treated Saints fans like crap too.

I'm relegated to cheering for the white suit and the Ravens.

Ravens fan now. It was really hard to pull for the 49ers yesterday, especially after that loss in the playoffs for 2011. That was devastating and any real Saints fan that are more "afraid" of the Falcons, who we have owned for the longest while now, should go back to hating the real threat in the NFC, the Niners. They tore our heart outs in our last playoff game, and then this season they stopped our 3 game winning streak and beat us in our own house in a "revenge" game, starting a 3 game losing streak-killing all playoff hopes.

I prefer the ravens winning but I wouldn't be upset if the niners won.

Honestly, I'm just happy that since Atlanta is not in this game, I don't give a frick who wins.
