Myself and two buddies will be in town the weekend before Mardi Gras. As some background, I'm from New Orleans and they're aren't, however they've both visited before.

That said, we're looking for somewhere to eat Friday night. Any recommendations? It's 3 guys so nothing romantic and we're probably not interested in real fine dining, although I'd like to bring them somewhere nice. We're staying on Canal so something either in the FQ or warehouse district would be preferable.

I've tossed around the idea of Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse, Mr B's, Bourbon house or maybe K-Paul's. Pretty broad selection there.

Any recommendations?

Well Ruth's is an obvious choice.

La Boca if you want an alternative steakhouse.

Capdeville, Root, Rock n Sake. There will be lots of ladies at Rock n Sake and Root.

Capdeville, Root

I hit both of those when I was in town recently

Enjoyed both. Capdeville was kind of loud but if that doesn't bother you the food was pretty solid.

King cake bread pudding FTW

Mr. B's or K Paul's are always solid.

Domenica, Cochon or Tommy's are also good for the guys to try out.

Yes take a trip to NOLA and get the local experience by eating at a chain steak restaurant.

He should also hit the red lobster because NOLA is known for its seafood.

The original location no longer exists.

And he had previously listed Steak type places. Ruth's is an obvious choice guy.

Ate at Mr B's last night. It was very good. Agree on Emeril's. Make reservations soon wherever you decide to go.

Bon Ton is another good choice for crawfish dishes.

MR B's. It's a short walk to the Penthouse club.
