Pamplona is awesome, probably my favorite restaurant I've been to over here. Just order tapas off the menu and you'll hit some winners. Calimari with jalapeno mayo is awesome. Duck fat fries are good too. Order both as they are relatively cheap and filling (and if you aren't careful, that place will run amock on your bill).
Bacon wrapped dates are good too and the drinks are awesome..man, I love that place.

My favorite overall restaurant in Laffy (French Press has the best food). If it's just you, sit at the bar, have a cocktail, peruse the menu, tell the bartender it's your first time there. Mention some things that look good to you and he/she will be able to guide you. They have a very stable staff there, so everyone is familiar with the menu. Enjoy.
