I've had the thread tab for TD and IE open on my phone past few days. Good reading on the toilet.

The same reason he kept telling them that he had met her.

On e again, there is no stretch, no conspiracy when operating under the assumption manti is in on it.

To believe he is a victim requires numerous leaps of faith and ignoring the inconsistencies, lies, gaps in logic and earth shattering lack of common sense held by one manti teo who somehow managed to get into one of the best schools in the country

But yeah, we're crazy

Maybe he was embarrassed?

What was he going to say? Guys, she's not actually dead... she had to fake her death to hide from drug dealers.

I'm sure he figured that Notre Dame was investigating the matter, and he would not say anything out of the ordinary until he figures out what he hell was going on.

You're assuming based on a hunch

We know manti is a liar. It's a matter of fact. Why would you believe one iota of what this guy or his camp says?

More IE:

"Jack was right when he said the biggest tragedy was the damage to Mantis’ trust in people. I hope this does not change the terrific person we know Manti to be and it will not change our love for ND."

Yeah, but the whole leukemia drive for money, the little girl, the drug dealers, and the gay theory has really twisted me around.

The stuff other people have said confuses me. Not just Te'o and ND.

I mean, do you have a foolproof answer to what really happened here?

Same here.

Plus there's the photo of Roniah and the little girl with some woman who apparently got trolled as well.

Te'o described a similar situation where he was supposed to meet Kukua at the USC game and Roniah and the little girl showed up.

I don't know what to believe

He mentioned her even when he wasn't specifically asked about her. He went out of his way to bring her up.

This is what gets me. I can see the reason for all the lies being that he was embarassed about it being an online relationship. He embellished everything and hid the fact that he didn't know "her."....

But then I think about the huge conspiracy it was, to have people spend all that time with him on the phone, and just keep faking it for all that time. I can't make up my mind which is more far-fetched.

Maybe? Lol. It sounds like you're just going with any theory that you think explains everything.

He is a liar. A proven liar, so I don't believe anything he says, and we're the conspiracy nuts?

How did Manti's new gf feel about his constant references to the love of his life dying of cancer?

Well that's just cold blooded Manti

Manti is in on it doesn't really require any big leap

It just lacks a "why" which we don't know...yet.

He knew, at the very least, that she wasn't dead on December 6th. On December 8th he comments that he lost both his grandmother and girlfriend to cancer.

This guy Roniah or whatever his name is sounds like a nut-job.

Remember that NFL player for the Cardinals who said he met a Lennay Kukua before, and that Roniah introduced her to him?

And that this Roniah guy claimed he ran a football camp for Troy Polamalu?

And other people have said they have been hoaxed by this guy?

I don't know why this guy does this or why he gets his jollies off of this non-sense, and how he gets other people to go along with it, but this guy is a nut-job.
