OK, Rags lose.
But the Eastern race has been insane. The Isles have won 8 of their last 11, and their three losses were all OT losses, so they have an 11 game point streak. The Rangers has won 3 in a row and 7 of 10. The Jets has won 6 of 7 and earned 13 points in 7 games. tonight ended a 7 game point streak.
I mean, almost every team in the race has been winning like crazy to keep pace.

Disappointed the Habs lost, but also disappointed that it was a boring game, to boot. Not surprised, though. Slumping team vs. a team knocked out of playoff contention. Gotta say, Habs' ceiling is the 2nd round regardless of whether they're hot or not to end the regular season. They're too young and inexperienced to make a deep playoff run.
Seats were nice, though.
That and Nathan's fries were my highlight of the game.

Stars up 2-1 after 2. Its been one crazy game, with the Stars in the lead cause of Kari and Daley. Going to be a crazy 3rd!

I still can't believe Boston, Montreal, NYR, NYI all lost. At least the Isles got a point.

The Hockey News had an interesting question tonight, would you consider a 48 game season permanent or like the 82 game format?
Many many replies, and it seem most people think 48 is too little, but 82 too many. Most want 68-70 game regular season.
What do you guys think?

Wow. Just over 5 minutes left and the Sharks score 2 goals in about 20 seconds to take the lead over Dallas, 3-2.

Well, it was a fun season Stars fans. Gonna be fun to watch this team grow since its basically the same team for next season.

Our only chance is to beat Detroit and Columbus in regulation. Then have Columbus get no more than 1 point against Nashville.
I'm putting the odds of this at somewhere between 5%-10%

We would still need Detroit to lose one more against la or Nashville in regulation, if I have it right...

You're right, Detroit couldn't take more than two points away from games against Nashville and LA. Detroit could feasibly lose to the Kings.
If this miracle does happen we would just get the honor of being swept by Chicago in the first round.

Detroit can lose to the Kings and Columbus can lose to Nashville.
Dallas wins out they're in, however, I don't think the Jackets lose to Nashville to clinch the playoff spot, but you never know.

This team reminds me of that Pens team that was dead last then we all know what happened. They just kept on fighting and believing.
