Anyone can recommend a FPS with an in depth campaign mode.

I love playing FPS games but it aways seems as the campaign mode leaves a lot to be desired. i know most of the games are geared to online play. Are there any good FPS games that have good in depth campaign or story lines?

Medal of Honor (2010) was really good. I want to say people really liked Spec Ops The Line's single player, too. Although that is a third person shooter. I guess you could always play CoD3 or CoD4 for decent campaigns.

CoD World at War was one of my favorite campaigns ever.

I generally skip the story and go right for MP, but I'm glad I played through this one. Amazing fun.
Halo series is really good on story as well, if you have a box.

do you not just feel like you shoot for 20 minutes, watch a little video , then shoot for 20 minutes, repeat.

Yeah, that's pretty much how most of them go nowadays. But CoD4 and MoH 2010 were actually some good missions. MoH 2010 had the best military story mode I've ever played.

Yeah i have a 360 and was thinking about picking up Halo 4. I have played Home Front and really liked the campaign but it was short. I like the Crysis series and loved Bioshock. i played Modern Warfare 3 and was left rather un-impressed with the campaign.
Speaking of BioShock when does the new one drop? or is it out already?

The only FPSs that come to mind for this type of descriptions are Bioshock, Half Life, and Dishonored. All have elements of other genres though.
Wouldn't consider any CoD or Battlefield to have an in-depth campaign mode despite being fun and entertaining.

Good call. Look for the Orange Box. It has Half Life 2, one of the greatest games in recent memory, with it's 2 episodes (think add-ons). It also comes with Team Fortress 2 , and Portal. Best bang for your buck.

What about Mass Effect? It is more of an action/adventure game, but it is pretty solid as a third person shooter.

The orange box is almost impossible to find it seems like. I have one and won't get rid of it.

Not sure if I hung on to mine. Once I got all of those games on PC, might have traded it in.

I'd say check out Crysis and Crysis 2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Metro 2033 would be an awesome choice. So, I'd say, in order:
1. Metro 2033
2. Crysis 1/2
3. Deus Ex
1. Metro 2033
2. Crysis 1/2
3. Deus Ex
