I could see MIN taking a big tumble with Love out, but probably not enough with Adelman running the show there.
They're 1-5 since Love got hurt. I think they're buggered. We'll definitely pass Phoenix. Only way we don't do better than Sacramento is if their talent all of a sudden gets their shite together, which people have been waiting for for quite a while. I don't really know what to expect from Dallas or LAL the rest of the way. I see Utah staying around .500 the rest of the way unless they trade Jefferson for young talent/picks.

This team is really fun to watch for sure. Gonna be fun to watch down the stretch.

Isn't the lottery always held at the League Offices in New York?
Just a little perspective for this thread:
quote:
It typically takes at least 45 wins to make the 8th seed in the West, which means the Hornets would have to go 34-9 down the stretch. So the Hornets should know a lot about themselves before the February 21st trade deadline, as nine more losses basically puts a fork in their season.

I think the hole is too deep for the Hornets this year
everyone hoping that everyone stays healthy and everyone else falls apart is a big reach
but if Lemonhead had been in for a full season, def some noise would have been made, too bad

it does, but the way things are going this season, I wouldn't be surprised if 42 or 43 made it.

Even if you can handle 12 losses instead of 9, that's still a lot to ask. I do want them to go down swinging though. I think a #12 pick and Demps being able to tell Free Agents we were above .600 once we got healthy is much better than a #7 pick and looking like a team in the early stages of a rebuild.
Of the teams that will have cap space next season there are only a few like Dallas and Atlanta that are considered playoff organizations. I still think the Hornets are a long shot to land a big fish like Iggy or CP3, but finishing strong should help Demps have his pick of the medium fish.

definitely agree. if this team just had a more reliable SF, i think it's easily a playoff team next year.

7 games back, sons! Houston collapsing. Portland will wear down from exhaustion (starters averaging a league high ~35 minutes per game) with their dogshit bench. Minnesota done with injuries. Need a Utah and LAL/Dallas collapse.

Fakers are already collapsing. The others will not go down enough for us.

what? Lakers are looking good. They are the team we have the least chance of catching. Utah, Portland, Houston, Minnesota, and even Golden State are much easier targets.

Houston is over. It's done.

The team that I worry about catching is Dallas, because Cuban is going to open his checkbook and trade for someone who can help his team. They won't go quietly.
