Kickers and punters are often successful soccer players, and the guys I know that play soccer as fast as shite. Not to mention the extra adrenalin that kids in when you are the last guy responsible for not letting the other team run back your kick.

Maybe the punter was fast.

To me, it looked like TH intentionally slowed when the kicker gave chase, knowing he could turn on the speed in a fraction of a second and run away. He was "taunting" the kicker, giving him a chance to get him, knowing he had no chance.

this is what definitely happened. you can see when the kicker gets close, he accelerates again, like "oh shite"

Koch attended Seward High School in Seward, Nebraska and played punter, tight end, offensive lineman, and defensive lineman. Also because of an injury to another player, he started a few games as fullback. Along with football Sam played basketball, baseball, and soccer.

I don't know why people assume punters and kickers aren't good athletes. Just because they typically don't tackle people doesn't mean they can't run fast.

Horrible thread.

Basically if it weren't for Trindon, broncos wouldn't have had a chance.

Only here.
An ex-LSU star had a great day in the NFL and a bunch of never-been's chirp in with criticism.

What is wrong in your lives that you have to heap criticism on everybody? If it's that miserable, just end it.
It's not criticism. It's conversation. I noticed it too. The punter was chipped and still had the speed to put a hand on Trindon. We're discussing what we see as a surprising event. Deal with it.

Maybe it had to something to do with the high altitude?

Trindon isn't loosing a step. It was in single digits with the wind chill, that tightens your muscles. Plus he was taunting the kicker while he was running past him, I don't think that tridon thought he would be that fast though.

Bottom line: If you run two kicks back to the house and both of them were over 90 yards you haven't lost a step. Especially in the NFL when you have players like Champ Bailey playing gunner.
No, he wasn't pulling a Brad Wing. He looked over his shoulder to see if he was going to clear his pursuer. He did, Trindon did great. Ok?

Some of you people are unf'nbelievable. The guy has two monster returns yesterday and you complain because you don't think he ran fast enough. I really don't even know what else to say about that.
The OP questioned his speed. And he complimented him for having a great game and being sure to cover the ball.

The problem is some of you people have zero reading comprehension skills.

LSU lost because the soft turf neutralized LSU's speed advantage.

But PSU had some fairy in the locker room sprinkle dust on their cleats, which magically enabled them to play through it...
You too, have a reading problem.

The sloppy field neutralized LSU's speed advantage was the comment. ie. it evened the playing field. No pun intended.

I thought the blocker helped the punter by pushing him. I also think Trindon was coasting.

...you are an azzhole ... TH had 104 yds and 90+ yds returns for touchdowns, set an NFL record for return yds in game, and all you can say is that "he is losing a step " .. Jerk ... folks on this board amaze me sometimes with the criticisms and the obsessive glass-half-empty shite ..

Scores 2 TDs in a playoff game. Not good enough for the rant.

These pussies complaining about other posters is what's wrong with The Rant.

Didn't he just score 2 TD's on returns?
The little guy still looked pretty swift to me. But he could lose a step and still be one of the fastest players on the field.

No one said that. The guy just pointed out that TH did not look as fast as you'd expect.
