Brian Kelly to leave Notre Dame?

According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles are interested in Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly for the same position in Philadelphia.
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer is hearing the same thing, saying the Eagles have "legitimate" interest in Kelly. However, the Notre Dame coach is out of the country this week. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that an interview has already taken place and the interest is "mutual." Kelly has recently shot down any rumors that he'd be interested in the NFL, but now that his season is over after a 42-14 drubbing at the hands of Alabama in the BCS championship game, the 51-year-old may set his sights on the big boy league. The Eagles struck out on fellow college coaches Chip Kelly, Bill O'Brien, and Doug Marrone last week.

Threads are getting nuked on this, but I don't see anything in coaching changes.

I didn't see anything on coaching changes either, but I rarely post there.

If true, then book Butch Jones to ND.

Out of the country? Vacation? It is the heat of recruiting. No wonder they are soft.

Trying to get more money....... couldn't leverage the Arkansas job, it's already taken.

His stock will never be higher than it is right now. He will never win a NC at ND and will never match the 12-1 record. He can do nothing but go down from here at ND.
He should haul arse while he can.

Well, it's been 3 years at ND for Kelly so I wouldn't be shocked if he left. But I doubt leaves.

He might be in Australia. After the NC he may realize the importance of a good punter.

Umm ND is perhaps even to bama in terms of weak schedule and easiest path to the NCG
Followed closely by Ohio State and USC

you're an idiot he returns 15 starters, has a top 3 recruiting class, and will never play a schedule as tough as last year again yet some how last year is the best he'll ever do?

Dunno. The way the SEC is going ND could become the perpetual NC runner up.
