You really can't be serious. How many MVP's does Jeter have? If it's fewer than 10, give it up.

do you really think kobe has been more successful than tiger? if so, care to share any facts that support this?

He works out at the same gym as a guy who knows this to be a fact.

I said jeter was the most successful because of what he has accomplished in a sport that is the statistically hardest to compete in

In a given tournament, golfers have to outplay roughly 143 other golfers to win said tournament. Tiger wins just under 30% of the time. Jeter is not more successful than Tiger.

I'd go

Tiger
Kobe
Lewis
Jeter

#1 and #2 are no brainers.

I'd take Lewis over Jeter simply because he has a better case as being the best or closer to the best, to ever play at his position than Jeter Imo.

Kobe has influenced his sport longer.

Tiger has been a side show for a few years now.

Kobe

Jeter has 5 World Series titles in 18 years, 27.7%, tiger woods winning percentage is 27.3%

Man that Jeter is a beast, Not only does he pitch, but he also catches and plays the other 7 positions in the field, while batting 1-9 in the order. Does he implement the ghost runner method of keeping track where he is on base?

Winning a team based title =/= winning an individual title.

I know it doesn't equal and I'm not the one who brought up winning %, I was just showing that his is higher. Also it is a lot harder to have success in team sports than it is in an individual sport.

While I agree with this, it's laughable to think that Jeter was the sole reason why his teams one 5 championships

ETA: Not to mention he was on probably the best possible team to be successful on.

Maybe not the sole reason but he was a big reason. Before he got there the last time the Yankees won a World Series was 1978 and their last AL pennant before he got there was 1981

I think using the "he did it by himself" argument is kind of a bs argument. If that's the case, every golfer to win a major is better than anyone who played a team sport because they did it by themselves.

Not saying that Tiger isn't the best of the four listed, just the argument doesn't apply

Which is why you have to compare their individual accomplishments
